Song Story:
The familiar story:  I just sat at the home studio and played.  Literally, without calculating chords, I played counter-melodies on the orchestra instruments,
and had to fix very very few.  Then I went and added CLASH chord progressions in the piano track to reflect the angst of this psalm... of US when we sin.
Then I duplicated the first section after making it sound good, added a counterpart for a second section. Then came the question: What lyrics?

I prayed, decided that I still have bout 100 more psalms left with no music yet.
I'd completed Psalm 30, 33, 34, 35, and 37.             CLICK HERE TO  HEAR THESE

So I kept praying, flipped to that area of Bible. Listened to my music tracks, and quickly realized that this Psalm 38 easily fit the music.  Once again:  God's song
Dedicated to our Lord, 20 March 2014.

LYRICS
1
O LORD, do not rebuke me in wrath, nor chasten me in Your anger.
Your arrows pierce me deeply and Your hand presses me
down...... down............ down.
        Psalm 38,
Because I've sinned, my flesh is sick.

        Because I've been foolish.
LORD, don't rebuke me, I plead.

2
I am bowed down and my sad heart groans. My strength fails me.
Light has gone from me, for I have sinned deeply.   I'm
so........ much...........  alone from my God..... ALONE.
         Psalm 38,
Although  I've sinned, I can find HOPE

in the LORD Who hears me.
LORD, don't rebuke me, I plead.

3
In You, LORD, I have HOPE.  You WILL hear me  when I
cry out confessing I have sinned. For I anguish over
all  my  sins  I have done against You.
         Psalm 38,
Although  I've sinned, God won't forsake me.

Make haste, LORD, my salvation -
         Don't rebuke me, I plead.

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
“O LORD, do not rebuke me in Your wrath, nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure!
For Your arrows pierce me deeply, and Your hand presses me down.
There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger, nor any health in my bones because of my sin.
For my iniquities have gone over my head; Like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me. My wounds are foul and festering because of my foolishness.”  (1 - 5)

15 For in You, O LORD, I hope; You will hear, O Lord my God.

21     Do not forsake me, O LORD; O my God, be not far from me!22     Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!

Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
This started out as a Psalm 121 song, but it got too long to be one song.
I loved the phrase that is the title... so that became emphasis of the song: That GOD Is our best blessing! (7th line of chorus). The first line of chorus was inspired by Bill Watterson's book title for Calvin and Hobbes, THERE'S TREASURE EVERYWHERE. We who love God certainly should see this truth EVERY day... not just when we “FEEL blessed”.

Interludes built around Thomas Ken's DOXOLOGY  (Public Domain, CCLI # 1364029 )

Dedicated to our Blessing God, 2 March 2014

Logic + Titus 1:2 + fact that “liars” = the last condemned sinners listed in Revelation (22:15). And it's the first sin recorded:

LYRICS

PART  1  -- READINGS from God's Word, to original background music

1
GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU. YOU ARE NEVER ALONE.
John 14:1, Jesus's promise.
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

2
JESUS WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU. GOD IS ALWAYS with you. Hebrews 13: 5.
3
JESUS is the SAME Yesterday, Today, and FOREVER. Hebrews 13: 8
4
And so it is JESUS Who said in Deuteronomy 31: 6 and 8,         LINK
        “I will NEVER forsake you.”
And it is JESUS  Who promised in Joshua 1 as well as the last verses of Matthew 28,
“I will be with you ALWAYS, even to the end of the World.”

5
GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU. YOU ARE ** NEVER**  ALONE.
John 14, Jesus said in verses 16 and 17:
“I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, [and He will]
abide with you forever—
“the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive,

because it neither sees Him nor knows Him;
but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”

6
GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU.  YOU ARE ** NEVER**  ALONE.
John 14: 26 and 27, Jesus said:
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name --

He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
PEACE I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” -John 14.

7
GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU.   PSALM  23.    [Verses 1 - 4a]    LINK
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
       He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;  For You - GOD - are with me...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PART  2  -- SONG
1
You are never alone. You are never “just one.”
God is always with you --- Father, Spirit, Son.

Sometimes you may tiredly wonder if God's even there. You
SEE no god, you HEAR no voice, you FEEL no presence there. You
cry out,
“Help me. I'm so lonely. Do I pray to just AIR?”

2
Jesus promised firmly, “Lo, I'm with you always,
to the end of the earth.” [SPOKEN] Matthew 28: last verse.
Even when you let you wonder if God's really there, just believe God Who promises,
Lo, I am always here.” Just trust God when He says He loves you and he really cares.

3
Sometimes I feel lonely. But my feelings can lie.
Titus 1: in verse 2: “God Can NEVER lie.”
Even when your feelings lie and ask if God is there,

you choose to trust Almighty God.
He shall hear humble prayers. Hebrews 13: 5.....

God will NEVER forsake you.....

Part 3 is based upon Isaac Watt's and William Croft's
“O God, Our Help in Ages Past” (Public Domain, CCLI #4315)

4
Before the hills in order stood, or Earth received her frame,
From everlasting, God WAS God, and         Scripture Habakkuk 3:6
knew and loved your name.

5
When you feel lonely, sad, or scared, just pray,
for God loves you. His James 4: 8 Word promises -------
when you call, He's with you.

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
On 27 March 2011, I wrote 3 songs including music into my journal. This one was written as BOLDLY COME TO GOD'S THRONE at the sanctuary piano in minutes and recorded at the studio 2 days later. Three years later, while seeking ways to improve these song gifts from God for His world, I used new skill levels to create a more steady pace. But the words kept going through my mind with the question:
Doesn't God in His Ephesians' instruction book for His Church
also tell us to GO from our walls out into His World to share His Word?
Dedicated to our Church's Savior, 27 February 2014

LYRICS
1
God, we BOLDLY  come to Your Throne of Grace, as a
Church united by our faith in Your word-- for You said we should come.
God, we  BOLDLY  come to Your Throne of Grace, based on
Your promise you invited us to come to Your throne....

but that Thy Blood was shed for ALL.

God, we BOLDLY  GO  to Your World to say,  "DO NOT FEAR.  Come to
Jesus and His Grace to be saved." First John Chapter 1.
God, we  BOLDLY  GO  only in Your Power.  Not in
our skills, but trusting Your Promised help to all who come...

3
God, we BOLDLY  GO  from Your Throne of Grace, to Your
world to teach Jesus and His Grace to be saved from Sin's punishment.
God, we   HUMBLY    COME  as YOUR Church to ask for Your
wisdom, protection as Satan tempts us to selfishness ...

Just as we are, without one plea,

READINGS:
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain MERCY
and find GRACE TO HELP in time of need.” -- Hebrews 4: 16

The book of Ephesians was written to not just individuals but the ENTIRE church.
God tells HIS church, “[IN Christ Jesus our LORD] we have
boldness and access [to GOD] with confidence
through faith in Him [JESUS].” -- Ephesians 3: 11b-12
We boldly COME to God's throne for His empowering, His BOLDNESS
before we GO to the World  to teach Jesus's Word.

---------------------

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. - Hebrews 4: 16  New King James Version

GOD'S  INSTRUCTIONS  TO  HIS CHURCH  BODY... not just individuals:
10 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of  righteousness

15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the   sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints..."

Hands Off My Children (history song), by DianaDee Osborne

HANDS  OFF  MY  CHILDREN!           SUBSCRIBE

ALBUM:      Amazing Portion 'n' Prophets

Song location  http://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Home.php
   (pending for FUTURE SONGS  tab)
                                                                                      REFERENCE:  Journal 24-070

Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
As I watched a mother let her child be "perfectly bratty" in the grocery store,
I empathized... Experience really helps in staying calm while channeling a child's
frustrations and energies.  I was watching other adults, too. It was easy to see
that many had opinions about the event.
Suddenly I began thinking about Israel's history.
And that, to me, is such a "disconnect"   to compare, that I, still, truly think
these songs are ideas from the Holy Spirit's inspiration and NOT any of my "great wisdom".   After all... comparing the MARK of Esau to God's protection of Israel?
Way more intriguing concept  than within my intelligence level. Consider parallel:

Genesis 4:14-15, Esau says "I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.”  And the LORD said to him, “Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the LORD set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him."
        1.  Israel was a fugitive and a vagabond on earth.
Until May 14, 1948 DAY when God fulfilled His prophecy Q to prove His power
in Isaiah 66:8,   "Shall a nation be born at once?"
        2.  History shows bad things eventually happen to those who attacked Israel...
              or just watch....
though God sometimes uses nations (like for Assyrian & Babylonian exiles)
to punish his children Nation until they return to obeying Him. Still.

SO the child's tantrum led to this song:  Absolutely NO one in that store except the mother had any right to discipline or even touch this child
-- even trying to help --
to guide this child to do what we called "behaving".
And if anyone had done so, the mother would have had an absolute right
to loudly declare "Hand's off my child!"

------------------------------------------------

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
Example warning... To EDOM in Ezekial 35:
“Because you have had an ancient hatred, and have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the power of the sword at the time of their calamity, when their iniquity came to an end, therefore, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I will prepare you for blood, and blood shall pursue you; since you have not hated blood, therefore blood shall pursue you."

Note that God's warnings and subsequent actions can frequently be traced to either
(1) previous harm caused by the recipient, or (2) a form of Idol worship like
Baal worship that threw infants and children upon the altar, or immorally hurt women.
Thus God is often wrongly called violent... There's no other way to stop evil violent people.

Amazing Grace Country Praise, by DianaDee Osborne

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
My favorite chord progression is E minor to Cmajor7 to D, throwing in an A minor or Fmajor7 chord here and there. After a horrible winter week all along the East Coast of the United States... and 7 days after a huge tree fell and hit both my vans needed for ministry, I traveled 1-1/2 hours away for a few days of prayer and retreat in a friend's “upper room”.

While she was at work, I went to spend some hours on the front porch... 55 degrees on the one-week anniversary of the terrible storm that shut down interstates.
So as I was “just playing” on my guitar, I suddenly realized that I was playing a sorta
country version of Amazing Grace, in 4/4 time instead of the usual 3/4. I sketched it into my journal and finished the chords in minutes.

And just as suddenly, I realized that God was giving me ideas for what has become a chorus... and a MUSICAL PRAYER of dedication of our lives to our
                    LORD of AMAZING GRACE.

Dedicated to our Lord,
VERSES = LYRICS for John Newton's “Amazing Grace” with original DDO melody (Public Domain, CCLI #5256521)

LYRICS
verses  1 & 2
Amazing grace!  How sweet the sound that
saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found.

Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
and grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear

                  the hour I first believed.....
                           THE  HOUR  I FIRST BELIEVED!

CHORUS 1
NO words can say  my praise to You enough to show my thanks.
I  cry, "Dear Jesus -- I  love you!  In praise I lift my hands!
Give me words to tell people of Your Truth,
and of Your Amazing Grace.

verses  3 & 4
Through many dangers,  toils, and snares,
I have already come;
‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,

and grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me.

His Word, my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be

                        as long as life endures.
                                AS  LONG  AS  LIFE  ENDURES!
CHORUS  1
NO words can say  my praise to You enough to show my thanks.
I  cry, "Dear Jesus -- I  love you!  In praise I lift my hands!
Give me words to tell people of Your Truth,
and of Your Amazing Grace.

verses  5 & 6
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
and mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,

a life of joy and peace.
When we’ve been there 10,000 years,

bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise

                      than  when we’d first begun!
                              THAN  WHEN  WE'D  FIRST BEGUN!

CHORUS  1
NO words can say  my praise to You enough to show my thanks.
I  cry, "Dear Jesus -- I  love you!  In praise I lift my hands!
Give me words to tell people of Your Truth,
and of Your Amazing Grace.

CHORUS  2
I give to You my life, Jesus!  I give to You my love.
Help me follow You and keep your Word -- In Your Power, I pray!
Give me words to tell people of Your Truth,
and of Your Amazing Grace.
 God's SUPPORTING WORDS - Hebrews 4: 11-16:
11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest,                                          CLICK HERE FOR LINK
lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword...
and   is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight,
but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens,

Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses,
but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
