Frogs Under The House, by DianaDee Osborne

FROGS  UNDER  THE  HOUSE
ALBUM:      Amazing CREATOR 'n' Critters
Song location   https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
It's AMAZING how hard it was to find frog sounds that, well, sounded like real frogs.  Some were scary.... but then, real frogs in multitude are pretty scary.  They help God make His point...
Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
This is a true story, one of my earliest memories. I figure Dad was about 28 then, and even he laughed over his silliness for years.
How our Heavenly Father must 'shake His head'  at the many silly things we try to do in our own power when He has specifically told us that He truly wants to help us... wants us to learn to depend on Him instead of losing our peace and getting frustrated by the frogs in our lives (including our own sins and dirt).
God warns in Galatians 3:3 of the dangerous temptation to drift from remembering we can never earn salvation, into doing good works with the wrong motive--- trying to earn God's favor instead of doing them just out of love for Him and for His other children.

Dedicated to our Wiser-than-Us! God, 6 March  2010. Renewed 11 June 2021

LYRICS
1
When I was just a bitty girl who barely had reached four  (and
I'm not saying how many decades that was _ ago!) _   I
woke at midnight terrified to hear something
big and banging, hidden, growling,
crawling 'neath my bedroom floor  __ then yelling
"OUT, OUT, OUT"     crazy "OUT, OUT, OUT",  my dad
kept yelling over and o'er.

I fled to Mom who comforted me, “Yes,
that was Dad, No, he was not crazy..
. He
just had crawled underneath our small house to
STOP all the croaking by chasing frogs ....out.”

2
Well, as you can imagine, Dad did NOT have much success. _ Each
time he almost reached a frog, it just hopped right or left. _  Dad
did accomplish two things, though: Dad
proved there was NO HOPE  chasing frogs, and he
proved there was no soap to get dirt

OUT, OUT, OUT "    of his clothes
“RIBBET!  RIBBET!  RIBBET!”  those frogs
kept croaking over and o'er.

3
We all have some frogs in our life, our
house, our church, our own selfish heart.  No
matter how we try, we're stuck some-
times with croaking frogs and ground-in dirt.

( 3 continued)
Yet God says in Galatians Three:  verse Three,    [Galatians 3:3]
STOP fighting frogs yourself.
Depend on God's Holy Spirit 'cause you
always need God's help.  Verse
seventeen on, we HAVE God's promised
Covenant of HOPE   that we
belong to Christ Whose 'soap' cleans all our sins
OUT, OUT, OUT of our soul WHEN, WHEN, WHEN  we do
humbly ASK His help.

4
We all have some pride in our life.  That's
no excuse:  we CAN choose to FIGHT our
frogs and dirt by telling God,  “I
Can't fight my frogs myself. __ __ Dear
God, I need Your HELP!”

Trinity Praise, by DianaDee Osborne

TRINITY  PRAISE   (Psalm 56:4)
ALBUM:      Amazing Word 'n' Worship

Song location  https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

 Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
As I played my draft recording of this song for a very young friend, she commented, “Someone already wrote that song.”
Ahh, the honesty of children!  This is a blended song with, of course,   our marvelous hymn of church history,   HOLY, HOLY, HOLY,  the hymn by Reginald Heber and John Dykes (Public Domain).  Dedicated to our Holy God, 15 July 2010.
Written before I created the Amazing Psalms 'n' Promises  album containing only songs based on God's Book of Psalms.

LYRICS

1    (Traditional Hymn)
Holy, Holy, Holy.  Lord God Almighty.
Early in the morning, our songs will rise to You.
Holy, Holy, Holy, merciful and mighty:
God in Three Persons, Blessed Trinity!

2    (new, blended hymn)

I praise You, Father, God,         I praise You, Jesus, Son,
I praise You, Holy Spirit, GOD THREE IN ONE.

3
I give You all my mind.    I give You all my heart.
I give You all my soul        You deserve each one.

4
“In God I will praise His Word,   In God I have put my trust,
I will not fear anyone.”  Psalm 56,  verse 4.

CHORUS                                     ECHO:
I give You, God,    me.                   I give You, God,    me.
I give Jesus all.                              I give Jesus all.
Holy Spirit, I give You all of me!     I give You all of me.
I give You, God,    me.                   I give You, God,    me.
I give Jesus all.                              I give Jesus all.
Holy Spirit, I give You all of me!    I give You all of me forever and ever!

Jeremiad Indicator Lights, by DianaDee Osborne

JEREMIAD INDICATOR LIGHTS
ALBUM:      Amazing Big God  'n'  Big Words
Song location  https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
All songs recorded before spring 2010 had to be done in professional studios.  Then God provided resources for me to set up a home studio and create all the initial instrument tracks for MIDI and loops.  This was one of the first songs.... and the growly background texture is the first loop I found.  By the way... yep, I know I'm not exactly great in the rap!  But, hey, it's a song for fun and for someone ELSE to improve one day!  My two studio producers did their best working with my raw skills!
Song Story:  THE  LYRICS
A TRUE STORY-parable.   God brought to mind an old van where the indicator light continually warned of something minor-- so we learned to  ignored it... and one day missed the fact that it was ALSO  warning that the alternator was dying.  A death that we completely ignored signs for.
Dedicated to our Lovingly WARNING God, 27 April 2010
LYRICS

1

PEOPLE   LAUGH  at Jeremiah.  “Weeping Prophet”, we call him.
Even got a Big Word from him:  JEREMIAD means “weeping” ... a
message full of gloom and doom and WHO  wants to hear THAT ??
We just skip Jeremiah's Bible book.   WHO  needs to hear that ??
2
One day my van indicator Light  began to flash Yellow.
I was busy -- said “I'll take the van to the shop --- tomorrow.
But that indicator light BOTHERED me.... WHO  wants to see THAT??
So I just pulled out  my duct tape --- and  COVERED  UP  that!!
3
Next week, a new indicator Light  flashed bright RED at me.
Still --- the van's fix would need time and my life was busy.  Now
this NEW indicator light  BOTHERED me..... WHO  wants to see THAT??
So I just pulled out  my duct tape --- and  COVERED  UP  that!!
4
By now you have surely figured where my JEREMIAD goes.
Yep,     my van died on the freeway,  and I had to have it towed.
Yes -- indicator lights are bothers.  BUT we need them.
Ignoring warnings lead to disasters..... and JEREMIADS!
5
PEOPLE LAUGH AT GOD QUITE OFTEN,
and at Jesus, and God's prophets.
Yet their Words are loving warnings to help you avoid disasters.
Bible indicator lights can't be covered by duct tape.
We NEED them.   Though human minds ask like   Romans 1,  how
    God's warnings can be true?
6
Take a look at evidences.  They add up to  “GOD  IS  REAL.”
We can't cover God with DUCT  TAPE.  God's warnings can't be concealed.
God demands that we be Holy.   God sent His Son to offer this Fix:
        Romans 10:  9  warns,  “DON'T DELAY
COMING TO GOD'S SHOP for this Gift.
TAG
Death will bring you     JEREMIADS -------------
        WEEPING THAT LASTS   FOREVER.................................

READING Jeremiah 3: 20-23:   “Surely, as a wife treacherously departs from her husband, So have you dealt treacherously with Me, O house of Israel," says the LORD.  A voice was heard on the desolate heights, Weeping and supplications of the children of Israel.
For they have perverted their way; They have forgotten the LORD their God. "Return, you backsliding children, And I will heal your backslidings." [MAY OUR REPLY to GOD join the Psalmist saying:]   "Indeed we do come to You,
For You are the LORD our God. Truly, in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, And from the multitude of mountains; Truly, in the LORD our God Is the salvation of Israel."--   NKJV
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Romans 6,    7,    11 & 15 describe how God's promises to Israel now extend to Gentiles.

READING  of   HOPE:
"In those days and in that time," says the LORD, "The children of Israel shall come,   They and the children of Judah together; With continual weeping they shall come,        And seek the LORD their God.”  - Jeremiah 50: 4 NKJV

Not God's Business, by DianaDee Osborne

NOT GOD's BUSINESS
ALBUM:      Amazing LORD 'n' Life
Song location  https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:
I needed a  thin binder for new band music, so was cleaning out papers from an old binder.  In it I found some music drafts from a year earlier that I had forgotten all about.  One was the first draft of this song.
I liked the words, went down to my home studio, and started looking for guitar loops in my files that were in the key of C.  I liked the foundation one I've used, and then started hunting for bass loops... this song's was about the 3rd loop I tried... and I loved it.  I decided to use flute rather than piano for the melody, created high piano 'fill' and drum beats that matched the melody.... 2-1/2 hours later, I completed the song, including these final sentences for the music sheet:

“EPHESIANS 3:20-21... God is WOW.  Just ask Him...  When you invite God  'into your business' you will be UTTERLY  ASTOUNDED  by what He will do in  partnership  with you.  Eph. 3: 20-21 "for His glory''.

Dedicated to God,  15 April 2011, renewed 3 Feb 2012

LYRICS
1

God's NOT IN THE BUSINESS of preventing tragedy.
God's NOT IN THE BUSINESS of making our lives  here  happy:
God has just one goal... that should be OUR goal:
Relationship with God,  who loves you.
2
God's NOT IN THE BUSINESS of making us a big success.
By this worlds standards, the greatest FAILURE was JESUS,
who died on a cross.   The world just won't see:
Restoring you to God   WAS   His Goal.

CHORUS
John 3: 16  LOVE for you.
2 Peter 3: 9 LOVE for you.
First Timothy 2:4 LOVE for you ---
but  you must pray Romans 10:9 ---
Accept God's gift.   God gave YOU free will to choose
    YOUR OWN BUSINESS.

GOD IS SPEAKING:
"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that  I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose  life, that both you and your descendants may live;  that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He [is] your life and the length of your days...."

5 Prayer Steps, by DianaDee Osborne

5  PRAYER  STEPS
ALBUM:      Amazing Power 'n'  Prayers
Song location  https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
From a music standpoint,  this melody is boring.  I intended it that way.... and I don't mean in a "cat falling off the sofa and looking at you with an  'I  MEANT to do that' " way.  When we're confused about something, we sure don't need complicated directions.  So I created a simple melody that basically walks down a scale as I describe the 5 basic descriptions that helped ME learn how to pray.  I "grew up in the Church" and always believed in God's existence, based on the evidence in Nature.  (Even before I ever knew of Romans Chapter 1's end.)  But when I became a Christ-follower in college, I was utterly confused by the books people gave me on "how to pray."  Three things helped me learn how to communicate with our LORD God:

    (1)  The acronym ACTS, which is the basis for this song:  Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication  [the fancy word for "just ask God"].

    (2)  When still somewhat confused and discouraged at my "stupidity,"  God guided me somehow -- I still don't know where -- to Charles Stanley's book “The Wonderful Spirit Filled Life”.  In my church denomination, hardly anyone ever spoke of the Holy Spirit as a modern-day real Helper.

    (3)  Then I discovered Brother Lawrence's “Practice of the Presence of God”.  Through it, God changed my life of prayer to joyful communication with Him.

Song Story:  THE  LYRICS
The Original Title of this song was “Don't Know What to Pray.”  It came from a prayer in my journal 13 days earlier when I was working on “Praising in the Rain.”  A “bad day” shall we say?!  Both songs centered around the realization that we humans are very self-centered when we say “I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO PRAY.”  The actual meaning is “What will help me, or help them,” rather than focusing on our great God.  When we don't know what to pray, it's simple:  Just praise and worship ....

Then trust God to take care of you.  Dedicated to our Understanding God, 29 November 2010

LYRICS

1    “I don't know what to pray” is a common prayer.  So
here are five simple steps to  quickly get you “there.”
2
STEP  ONE:  Ask God's Spirit to guide your words.  God
promised in Romans 8: 26,   He'll pray your words.

3
STEP  TWO:  Just PRAISE God for Who He is:  John
4: 23 and 24 tells you  HOW, by Jesus.

4
STEP  THREE   is to THANK God for all He's done.  At the
TOP of your List of Thanks is God
sending His Son.....
to die on a Cross so
    you can pray STEP FOUR:
Ask God to forgive You for all of your sins.
    You must admit to sins:
    First John Chapter one.
Just say “Please forgive me” and God WILL.

5
STEP  FIVE    is TELL God  what help you need.  God
loves you and will guide you.  Just ask Him---    John 14.

1 Chronicles 28:9  NKJV.  “...Know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts.  If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.”

Romans 8:26-27 NKJV.  “... the [Holy] Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [NIV: “expressed in words”]. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, be-cause He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

Hebetudinicity, by DianaDee Osborne

HEBETUDINICITY
ALBUM:      Amazing Big God  'n'  Big Words
Song location   https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
It was “one of those days” when I dragged myself to early Band Practice to work with the bass player on new songs.  He's one of those people I can enjoy joking with big vocabulary words, so I wasn't really thinking when he asked how my week went and I replied,   “I've been hebetudinous all week.”
I think I “got him”  on that one,  because he laughed and commented,  “Well, THAT'S a ten dollar word, Diana.”   One of those tiny amusements that hang on until God gives us parable ideas for sharing things about Him and His Word..... :)
Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
There are  FOUR basses  playing in this humor song.   If you pan your stereo sound controls from left to middle to right,  you can hear completely different "mixes" of each bass.  I personally like panning to hear the high bass, all done well above fret 12 on the two highest sounding strings.  As far as I know, this hasn't been done before.  The key:  Each bass has its own "sonic space" that avoids slurring into another bass's fretboard territory.
Why did I do it?  Just for fun.... the idea just "came" to me.  Claxton played the poppy low bass... I still haven't mastered slap bass.  Then I recorded the three slide bass tracks that I'd already designed for duet playing with a bass student, teaching him to play above Fret 5.
At first I was just experimenting to see which bass design I preferred to add above the slap bass.  But I still remember the moment the thought came to my mind in the studio:   "HEY - LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS when we play ALL 4 BASS TRACKS TOGETHER."  And I still laugh to remember the funny look I got for my suggestion ('twas one of my earliest studio songs).  And laugh at the amazement we both felt when it WORKED.  Wow, God comes up with some weird ideas to inspire His people with!
Dedicated to a creative God, who inspires weird good parables,  7 October 2008

LYRICS
Definition Reading:   HEBETUDINICITY:   The state of being sluggish, dull, lethargic, dense, doltish, obtuse, stupid, thick-headed, thick-witted....  get the idea?
Not a compliment!
1
Hebetudinicity is such a pretty word.
Who would believe that what it MEANS  is
   I'm  a  Life Coward.
I'm lazy and disorganized.     I want my will ---- not God's.
I tend to  blame anyone but me   when I don't like my Life.
2
God, I'm tired.  O, God I'm sad.
I  feel I've done my part.   My HEBETUDINICITY says
“God, seek someone ELSE's heart." --
I've  worked and worked for years in church.
Don't  call me  'contrary!'
So  'HEBETUDINICITY'  surely won't fit saints like me!!
3
God, I really DO love You.  I  dearly  yearn to serve.  But
God, I've failed You    SO   often.  I quit  trying,   I've lost my nerve.
I can't serve You without Your power!  I claim Philippians 4:  13.
I  ask Your might to help me fight my HEBETUDINICITY!

REFERENCES:

Verse 1.  God's references to character of laziness include Jesus's description in Matthew 25:26, when "his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant....!"  Spanish uses words whose roots we recognize in English as meaning bad and negligent:  "malo y negligente".

1 Thessalonians 5: 11-14 New Living Translation.  "So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.  Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord's work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance.  Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.  Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazyEncourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone."

Verse 2.  Philippians 2: 3-4 NIV.  "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus...."

Unchanging Grace, by DianaDee Osborne

UNCHANGING GRACE
ALBUM:      Amazing Grace  'n'  Tears
Song location  https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  The MUSIC.    Simply:   I needed a 12th song for this first album, and it “made sense” to create another Amazing Grace version song.   And at the last minute -- we'd finished the song -- the thought came to me to "reprise" the album's title song at the end of this song that would be the final track on the album.
I had NO IDEA that God would EVER keep   honoring   me with songs to develop for Him.... and so MANY.    This was in the first month of recording with Valley Worship & Praise Productions, and even after 2 years of daily prayers to serve our LORD with music,  I never dreamed that 9  months after recording UNCHANGING  GRACE, I would have filled a second album,  “Amazing Love 'n' Lullabies.”  Ephesians 3:20, far beyond all we ask or dream.  Verse 20... For God's Glory-Only.

I kept my “Little Girl” singing voice and a very light touch on piano and bass (complete with  bass  mistakes and gaps), to sound weaker...... as we ARE without our LORD's empowering Love.
AND,  I  sent the VwP studio producer out of the controller room after he hit the  “Record”  button (something musicians shouldn't,  don't,  do)   because I knew I would cry while recording
these sad words about all Jesus has suffered  for me... for us.....

Song Story:  The DiDoReflections Music Ministry Project.
When I first began this worship project,  I called the CCLI office for information about sharing songs with churches and Christ-followers.   I commented that I had several versions of the song "Amazing Grace."  Giselle's wonderful immediate response was, "THERE CAN NEVER  BE  TOO MANY SONGS ABOUT GOD'S AMAZING GRACE."  What TRUTH is in those words, about God's UNCHANGING GRACE!
This was also the first song in which God gave me the idea to really pack in scripture references so people can find His Promises.

Dedicated to our Lord, 30 November 2008,
eight months after LORD God began pouring out His song giftings through me......

RENEWED 11 June 2021 as I update blogs of God's SONG STORIES.

TAG     < Reprisal of  first CD's title song, “Amazing Grace ‘n’ Tears” >
How self-centered  I have been.   How I’ve  focused all on  me.

Trapped Under a Cat, by DianaDee Osborne

TRAPPED UNDER A CAT
ALBUM:      Amazing Creator  'n'  Critters
Song location  http://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/2009---2011-Song-List.php
Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
I absolutely loved playing “all over” my bass on this song.  I had just gotten my Ibanez 5-string bass, and that “THUMP  THUMP   THUMP” in interludes was my first chance to really slam it!   This song also amuses me because, honestly, I had almost no  “country” experience -- including playing the radio!
THE  LYRICS  tell the story:  A little black and white sick cat, Gizmo, will be long remembered in God's parable of  Psalm 46:10.
Dedicated to our Lord, 3 January 2009, in memory of Gizmo-- Tom's little black & white kitty.

LYRICS
1
Well,  I started to leave my chair and go to wash my dishes.
When suddenly,  I found myself trapped under my white kitty!
Poor Gizmo'd struggled to my lap, turned once and fell asleep there.
She'd been so sick, so sad, so frail:    How  COULD  I leave my chair????

No TV  on,   no radio.  No telephone in reach.
I'm stuck there under my sick chair,  wishing I had a peach.
(Sorry.... songs are supposed to rhyme.  Forgive that one,  I beseech!)
2
So there I am trapped by a cat with nothing else to do.
I figured,    MAYBE I SHOULD PRAY?  Can't hurt.  Might help me too.
So first I prayed for my sick cat --- our God of love won't mind.
Then prayed for people that I love.   CAT STILL ASLEEP.  More time....

So then I prayed for church and friends,     for peace with God to find.
Then prayed for people  I  don’t  like.    CAT STILL ASLEEP.  More time....
3

What next to pray?  Peace for my day,  to trust,  “With God, all's fine.”
Then prayed for wisdom,   strength,
PATIENCE!   CAT  STILL  ASLEEP.  More time....
SO MUCH that I should go and do.     Yet..... at peace under this feline.
A quiet joy from touching fur................ and joy touching Divine.
4
At last!    It's time!    Gizmo awakes,   yawns,  ambles down,  goes eat.
No longer trapped ----- and yet I stay,  to pray --- with God  I meet.
Trapped under a cat,  I re-learned this --- Joy thanking God for WHO He is,
peace from praying....
joy in staying
in our loving God's presence.

The LORD's my Shepherd, Not the Etc., by DianaDee Osborne

LORD'S MY SHEPHERD (Not the Etc.)
ALBUM:      Amazing Grace 'n' Tears
Song location  http://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/2009---2011-Song-List.php
Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
       (1)   Written as a call-and-response song   where people can worship and praise our Lord with their eyes closed to all but Him,   not needing a hymnal or screen to know the words.
       (2)   Written like Psalms were sung.... This was among the first dozen songs that I recorded -- all within a couple of months, with the help of a bass player friend who learned my complicated lines so that I could practice other instruments instead before studio recording.
Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:  Written in minutes into my journal.... long before I had any idea what to do with it.  Because in September 2008, I had no home studio,  was 2 months away from first talking with another church's bassist-drummer about my dreams to record.... 2 months before Claxton Wilson quietly replied,  "I have a studio."  I had worked the sound board there for a year and had no idea.... It's AMAZING how God pulls together pieces --- like a jigsaw puzzle without the picture.
Dedicated to our Great God 13 November 2008
LYRICS
1   LEADER,  then echoed by worshipers
The LORD's my Shepherd    (echo)
I shall not want         (echo)

Only You give Life.
Only You give Peace.

     ONLY YOU     I'll trust.
Only You give Joy.
Only You give Calm.
Only You give Rest.
     ONLY YOU     I'll trust.

3   UNISON
Only You .... only You..... Only You.... Only You....
Only You .... only You..... Only You.... Only You....
4   UNISON fervently -- double tempo
Only You can meet my needs, LORD,
Only You will I let lead,  LORD,
Only You will be my Shepherd,
ONLY YOU,  NOT THE "ET CETERA"....
Only You .... only You..... Only You....
NOTHING ELSE!

My Heart Rejoices (First Samuel 2), by DianaDee Osborne

MY HEART REJOICES (1 Samuel 2)
ALBUM:      Amazing Word 'n' Worship
Song location   https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
I'd already finished practicing before choir members arrived, so I just started playing "anything" at the piano.  This entire piece was written in minutes into my journal....

THE  LYRICS:  This plus “YOURS O MY LORD”  was written during the first week that God gave me the idea for taking His actual Word and molding it into music (before I had any concept of what God would develop through DiDoReflections).  So these two songs became the first in a NEW ALBUM... and I surely never expected God to honor me with enough songs to more than fill all these albums!
I'd always loved the  history of Hannah receiving a gift from God at a time when women were usually  considered inferior. It shows us a wonderful view into God's compassionate heart.    Even when we see how insignificant we seem to be in this world,  nevertheless we are of great importance to the Creator of the Universe, Who answers prayers... LET OUR HEARTS REJOICE!

Dedicated to our Worthy God, 8 September 2009

LYRICS ... 1 Samuel 2 :  1-4
1
“My heart rejoices in the LORD!
My heart is exalted in the LORD!
I smile at my enemies because I rejoice in
Your salvation.
2
No one is holy like the  LORD.
For there is none beside You,  God.

Nor is there any Rock like Our God.
Talk no more so very proudly.
3
Say no arrogance with your mouth,
For the LORD is the God of knowledge,
and by our God, actions are weighed,
and those who stumble are girded with strength.”
TAG
First Samuel 2,  verse 1 through 4.
This was Hannah's worship song.
This shall be my praise all day long!

Still Waters, by DianaDee Osborne

STILL WATERS   (Psalm 23:2)
ALBUM:      Amazing Psalms 'n' Promises
Song location   https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC.... written in 1/2 hour  on my "travel guitar",  beside "still waters" that I  "accidentally" (in God's guiding way)  found while desperately driving anywhere.... anywhere.....

Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
God led me to this special place by a quiet river at a time of horrendous distress....  and it has become my quiet place to worship and  listen to Him.  This quiet, simple song, was written there on the day that I “accidentally” found a river inlet.... written in deep grief, but under the comforting blanket of God's loving Presence.
God has a special place for YOU.... just tell Him you yearn to obey Psalm 46:10 but need His help to find “Still Waters”   if there's no quiet place you have yet found...
Dedicated to our Comforting God, 16 January 2011

LYRICS
1
Here I am, God, beside still waters.
Here You are, God, right beside me.
You, God, lead me beside still waters.
I'll follow You wherever You lead:  Psalm 23, verse 2.
2
Storms of life rage all around me.
Griefs and sorrows,   dark doubts and pain.

Yet, You, Lord go with me to show still waters.
With Your help, Jesus, I forever trust You:  Psalm 27, verse 11.
3
God, You know my heart's desire.
You know all my passions, my hopes and my dreams.
Yet I trust You, Lord where You lead me.
I'll be still and just know You're god:  Psalm 46: verse 10.
4
Still waters run deep, I have been told.
Jesus, I pray that you'll please give me grace to
deeply trust You......... Lord where You lead me, I'll
be still .............  and rest in You Psalm 46: verse 10.

REFERENCES:
Psalm 124: 4, 5, 8:   "Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul; Then the swollen waters Would have gone over our soul.... Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth."  NOTE:   THIS IS THE SCRIPTURE THAT LED TO MY MUSIC MINISTRY that God has honored me with.... see the song ABOVE MY SORROW SEA.
from Jonah Chapter 2
Jonah disobeyed God blatantly, like a child having a tantrum.  His punishment COULD have been death, and he did suffer consequences (the "whale" story:)  YET, from his story came the most BEAUTIFUL example of how God SAVES YOU:

        Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the fish's belly. And he said: "I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, And He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried,  and You heard my voice.... Then I said, 'I have been cast out of Your sight;
Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.'  The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head.... When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple. Those who regard worthless idols  forsake their own Mercy.  But I will sacrifice to You  with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation  is of the LORD." So the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

Psalm 134 Ascending, by DianaDee Osborne

PSALM 134 ASCENDING
ALBUM:      Amazing Psalms 'n' Promises
Song location   https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
I was playing around with an F chord riff on the keyboard.... something I don't usually do since I still struggle with that chord on guitar (small hands that hurt so far for that one!). I liked what I recorded, and thought I'd throw in a quick foundation piano for some depth.
Then started adding some drums for fill.... then found a cool bass line to add.... and a plucking acoustic guitar riff for deliberate conflict in places.  I finally decided that trumpets were  best to stand above the sonic sound in place and build God's praise song to its conclusion.

The Holy Spirit guided me to write all this music in 2 hours and 15 minutes. This, like other DianaDee songs, is not genius even to people who like the style.... such fast and exciting music is beyond my training and natural skills.  This is God's empowering. I’m no one special.  God will do the same for ANY one who asks for wisdom (James 1:5) and empowering (Ephesians 3:20-21) and protection (Ephesians 6: 10-end).

Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:  I prayed to find a psalm that would fit the music.... and the area of the 130s came to mind.  I don't know where the idea for a different descant lyrics came from.... Except God;  I just started singing the words while listening to a first draft recording.  Psalm 134's short but exciting praise words fit God's music perfectly! The words are straight out of God's Bible.  Dedicated to Life-Giving Jesus, 15 November 2011

Psalm 103 Forgiving, by DianaDee Osborne

PSALM 103 FORGIVING
ALBUM:      Amazing Psalms  'n'  Promises
Song location  https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
The Garageband recording program says the weird instrument is a clavinet.  I have no idea what that is.... I just liked it.  Sounds like one of those mountain men's band instruments where someone else is blowing into a jug.
Claxton, who serves our LORD as my drummer for live drum tracks (and for slap bass... I specialize in slide bass)   was amused when I brought him this project with my prepared percussion track saying, “HEY I GOT IN SOME BONGOS TOO!”
This is yet one more of those  "don't ask me where I got the idea, I don't know" ... except has to "be God"  songs.....  At least, I don't believe our Creative God minds getting credit for such a weird song!  Nothing like it in the hymnal song records I've heard!
By the way -- the entire song took about 8 minutes to write.... complete with the weird chord progressions “in my head”... with our Great Holy Spirit's Ephesians 3:20-style empowering, of course, for His Ephesians 3:21 and More GLORY.  Perhaps 2 hours at the most to record all the instrument tracks.   It's God.

Dedicated to our  God  Who created an entire System for Forgiveness:  Centering on the Son of God -- Jesus Christ -- Who was also  the Son of Man through Mary,  our Mediator and Advocate (Lawyer)  before God's Judgment seat.  30 October 2011

How Many Coins? by DianaDee Osborne

HOW MANY COINS?
ALBUM:      Amazing LORD  'n'  Life
Song location:  /https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php.

 Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
The story behind the Coins.... which inspired the initial thoughts of this song's concept.... is actually amusing.  I was walking on a large sidewalk in front of a huge bookstore that was about to close.  Dozens of people were going in and out, but no one was paying any attention to what they were walking around...... about two dozen large flat washers.  From a distance they looked like quarters scattered around the sidewalk along  a 4-foot path.  I looked, waited, watched --- no one seemed to care about them.  So finally I gathered up all the washers into my pocket and then continued my book quest.
This was my last stop before going to my main recording studio,
so we recorded me “playing with” the washers, dropping them onto a cloth, dropping them into a box, and so on for a future sound track.  At the time, I had no idea what to use the sounds for....
but I kept them in mind for a number of months, asking God for some parable song if He wanted.  And then one day I suddenly had an  “ah-ha--- THAT'S how I can use them to serve God!”   moment.  An idea from Him that still amazes me as I listen to this heartbreaking story of what Jesus went through,  and how we treat His dear friendship and sacrifice so carelessly sometimes...........
Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
The song original concept came from considering how much time I'd do serving my own happiness at the expense of time that could have been done for God's music ministry.... and then how much money I'd spend on things for me, and on..... Written with my deepest apologies to our LORD Who deserve our everything... Who deserves MY everything....    See also the song  “God Before All,”  written 4 weeks later.
Dedicated to Jesus Whom I Helped Crucify, 19 April 2012

LYRICS
INTRODUCTION
God's prophecy of that the Good Shepherd He would send-- Jesus-- would be betrayed FOR 30 COINS is often forgotten.  Zechariah 11, verse 12 predicts the words of Judas Iscariot:  “Then I said to them, "If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain." So they weighed out for my wages 30 pieces of silver."
In verse 13, God foretells the events of Matthew 27 to come 500 years later.
“And the LORD said to me, 'Throw it to the potter'--that princely price they set on me. So I took the 30 pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the LORD for the potter.”   And the entire prophecy of Zechariah, especially Chapters 10 and 11, is of the bad shepherds in the churches.  Zechariah 10:3's prophecy is ASTOUNDING and EXCITING!  God says, "My anger is kindled against the shepherds, And I will punish the goatherds.
For the LORD of hosts will visit His flock, The house of Judah.... “  (New KJV)
And then LORD Jesus visited, for 33 years... and we.....

1
How many coins would it take, for me to decide that I'd betray
a Friend Who dearly loves me, who I'd lived with for years?
How much money would it take to entice me to
stop serving my Friend and start living selfishly,
expecting my Friend's Love would always save me from my
CHOICE to betray my dear Friend....... from the
separation forever from Him?
READING AFTER VERSE 1:    Matthew 26: 14 to 16.
“...one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, "What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?" And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.  So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.”
2
How many hours would take, for me to decide that I'd betray
Jesus who dearly loves me, so much he died for me.
How much fun will I do just for ME?  Will I
stop serving Jesus and start living selfishly,
believing quite wrongly that God's Love will save me  from my
CHOICE to disobey Jesus,    LORD.    How much
time did I waste NOT  serving Him?
READING AFTER VERSE 2:  Through John 15, Jesus tells us,
"You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.”....
3
How many warnings would it take, for me to decide that I'd    obey
God's last command in Matthew, “Go tell the world of God's Love.”
How much time will I waste living for me?
How many people will see hell because of ME, and
others who did NOT teach God's One Way to be saved from their
sins,  through Christ Jesus, their True Friend...... How much
time do    I waste NOT  warning them?
READING AFTER VERSE 3:   At the end of John 15, Jesus said,
“go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”...
REFERENCES:

John 15: 26.... “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.... And you also will bear witness..... “
