Song Story: THE MUSIC:

The music came first: The melody “just sort of happened”, in That Way that God's Holy Spirit leads: As I was exercising fingers on my guitar, just playing whatever chords came to mind... I fell in love with the first set of chords that became this song.

Song Story: THE LYRICS:

Next I prayed, “which psalm, LORD?” I'd recently finished Psalm 91 which filled in the set up to 103, had done Psalm 88 Crying Out in 2012; Psalm 90 is the Song of Moses (done) and 87, 89 were long. It seemed God guided me to the lovely prayer of David in Psalm 86. Since the Psalm's first words were translated as asking God to BOW His ears to us, I decided to use the synonym that does not give the false first impression implying that our LORD ever would have reason to “bow” to us.

Song Story:

When I felt that God was leading me to write this Valentine,
I was overwhelmed by all the possible things that can be said
to our Lord to tell Him “I love You.” So.... I sat down and wrote this
musical valentine for my husband for the first draft.
After a couple of decades together, still the joy of
waiting to see what he will say, the excitement of seeing him
at the end of the day, reminds me of how
God hopes we will love HIM -- with joy, with excitement,
with a yearning to be with Him, with a deep loving
passion NOT for what God DOES for us, but for the Wonderful Person He IS.

Now the question is:
What will be your valentine to Him?
He asks for you to trust HIS love enough
to give Him YOUR ALL , as your valentine.

Lyrics set up while at the gym... This is so easy to me, so

AMAZING how the psalms just seem to fall into rhymes in the English language,

that I am absolutely convinced that God's Holy Spirit is doing exactly

what God through Paul said would happen:

Ephesians 3:20, to give His people power beyond their dreams to spread God's Word.

But ALWAYS Verse 21 must go with that promise:

ONLY for God's glory.

Never for any songwriter's, etc.

When you shadow God through life, Evil can-NOT win.

Snakes and lions can't hurt you without God's permission. If –

IF you set your LOVE on God,

God WILL be with you and set you safe on high.

God WILL show you His salvation.

LIFE'S TERRORS CANNOT WIN AGAINST HIM!
