Song Story: THE MUSIC:
I am not a "Country Music" person.... so it deeply amused me when God started giving me ideas for country songs like this. Yet another example that all these different styles are evidence that they are from GOD -- because I personally do NOT have even much knowledge of these styles, much less the skills to do them.
This song came in four stages:
First --- my first website could not handle songs this long. We could easily split "Weariness Prayer" into its three sections of "Body... Soul... Spirit" in the song design, to make 3 tracks. But there's NO WAY to split this song... because the first half if "UN-Christian" -- describing turning to anything but God for comfort. I didn't want to take a chance on people listening to the first half on one track and skipping the second track with all the scriptures that tell HOW GOD GIVES COMFORT.
THEN -- Some bored etc. person hacked the web HOST that my website was on. It didn't matter how secure my designer Thomas of AVC-LEVIATHAN made the site when others on the host left a "back door" for hackers.
So... almost a year passed until Claxton of Valley Worship & Praise had built this great website ---- which allows ANY length song.
3rd -- NOTICE HOW THE MUSIC BUILDS UP THROUGH THE SONG...
When I wrote this song in early 2010, I did not have a home studio. After about a year, I added the 'contrary motion' of the sax.
4th -- In 2012, I asked the producer of the J&T Studio who began work for me in mid-2010 to create a lead guitar line. He did this great one in about 10 minutes! God's inspiration continuing... this was a real teamwork song!
Song Story: THE LYRICS:
The years of Marcy 2008 through 2010 were horrendously painful to me, because of some persons... Something I share just because I know that most people suffer from people -- deep pain is not just from physical causes like cancer. To share that I TRULY believe God gifts these songs to bring you comfort through anything. I wrote this song for me.... but also for you. (2nd Corinthians 1:4, God "comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those
who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are
comforted by God")
I wrote this song to put in all the scripture references that ** I ** needed to find comfort. Without having a good memory, it's easier for me to find God's word if I "sing the references".
I would not be at all surprised if some “church people” were getting annoyed at how many “DianaDee” songs for God focus on doubts about God. After all -- Hebrews 11:6 says clearly that without faith, it is impossible to please God. Yet -- look at all the people Jesus met who had doubts --- the woman at the well (John 4), the crowd who decided the man with sight couldn't be the same blind man they'd seen before (John 9:9), the man with the thrashing child who came out and told Jesus he had some doubts (Mark 9: 17-29, also a teaching about fasting plus prayer):
JESUS MET PEOPLE AT THEIR OWN LEVEL OF FAITH. I myself find SO VERY much comfort in the story around Mark 9:24 (song “Impercipient”). That's why He continually says “SEEK and you shall find” (Jeremiah 29:13, Proverbs 8:17, Matt. 7:7, Luke 11:9, and on). God always loves us. God honors our honest seeking even when we fall..... when we fail, trying to create our own remedies for the things that trigger us to seek comfort. Not yet seeing that God YEARNS to comfort you:
Psalm 23:4 (Lord's my Shepherd),
Psalm 119:50, 76 -- God's Word comforts and gives LIFE (“quickens”),
Isaiah 40:1 and 51:3, 2nd Corinthians 1:3 to 4 and 2:7.
