Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
The obvious thought processes for a song of this topic did inspire the idea... but so did Nehemiah 10: 28-31, oddly.                                          CLICK HERE FOR LINK
All of Israel had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the Law of God-- their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone who had knowledge and understanding … They were willing to risk hostility and mocking by entire nations,  to do what God said was Right –-
simply because God said it was Right to do.

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
After writing the "sweet" parts on guitar, I wanted something "blasting" for the types of hostility done against Jesus.  I'd written the guitar chords while waiting for choir practice, so with "minutes til time" for practice, I sat at the piano and
"just started playing" pounding E minor chords... then the progressions "as they came to mind" -- The Holy Spirit's guidance, I am completely convinced.

Dedicated to Protector LORD God, 24 May 2014

LYRICS
Verse 1
Jesus healed. Jesus fed. He raised people from the dead.
Showed kindness – yet with justice.
HOW DID PEOPLE REWARD HIM FOR THIS?
Questioned His character.
Believed accusing words.
Rejected all the Love He showed them TIME AND TIME AGAIN!         (Repeat Lines 4-6)

Verse 2
Jesus called children to Him, taled to lepers and healed them
Even kindly taught women.
HOW DID PEOPLE REWARD HIM FOR THIS?
Mocked Him with questioning.
Doubted His love for them.
Rejected all the miracles He  showed them TIME AND TIME AGAIN!    (Repeat 4-6)

Verse 3
They saw Jesus face down priests, Pharisees and Sadducees.
Saw Him answer logic'lly
EVERY attack – but HOW DID THEY REACT?
Showed Him hostility.
Called His Words trickery.
Rejected all the Truth He TOLD them  TIME AND TIME AGAIN!        (Repeat 4-6)

CHORUS  (in Lullaby timing... 3/4)

God offers COMFORT:  Hebrews 12, verse 3.
Remember Jesus suffered hostility...................... COMFORTING!
Here you find COMFORT: Jesus understands. He'll
help you be courageous in hostility ….................  COMFORTING!

----------------------------------------

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
GOD SAYS:
"Looking to Him [Jesus], the Author and Finisher of our faith.... For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls." –  Hebrews 12: 2a, 3             CLICK HERE FOR LINK

CONCEPT:
Although God is omnipresent, He has chosen to manifest His presence in certain locations and at certain times within history. This physical manifestation of God has come to be called the Shekinah. – BibleStudyTools.com, A Testimony of Jesus Christ, Section 16.2
“For the LORD will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places;
He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the LORD;
Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody. - Isaiah 51:3

Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
Yet another song idea from God that was done quickly... far too quickly to
be my own skill. The GARDEN hymns were on my mind after choir practice. And then I
began thinking--- what was the best part of the Garden of Eden? Not perfection of
Creation. It was GOD's physical presence.
And then the joy of 2nd Corinthians 5:8 came to mind...
Dedicated to Glorious LORD God, 22 May 2014

Part 1 built around Charles Austin Miles' “In The Garden”, AKA “I Come To The Garden Alone” (Public Domain, CCLI # 62858 )

LYRICS

CHORUS
I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses.
And the voice I hear falling on my ear, the
Song of God discloses.  AND He walks with me, and He talks with me.....
      AND
I walk with Him, and I talk with Him...........

1
Eden's Splendor _ was NOT that wonderful Garden.
Eden's Joy was NOT animals, fruit, or flowering things.
Eden's splendor was GOD'S PRESENCE...
SHEKINAH -- God came from heaven.
God's  Shekinah  physical presence,
GLORY here on earth.
Eden's Garden splendor was
walking beside God -- Genesis 3:8.
       God's SHEKINAH  GLORY seen!

(partial chorus as interlude between verses)

2
Eden's Splendor described in Genesis Chapter 3
shows that JOY was NOT beautiful plants, but God, walking.
That first Christmas brought God's presence:
SHEKINAH -- CHRIST   came from heaven.
God's  Shekinah  physical presence,
JESUS   here on earth.
Eden's Garden splendor was
       walking beside God -- Hebrews 13:  5.
       God's SHEKINAH  GLORY seen!

3
Heaven's Splendor will NOT be golden streets or other things.
Heaven's JOY shall be walking with God through eterniity.
Death just graduates us from earth to
SHEKINAH -- God's Presence in heaven.
God's  Shekinah  physical presence,
GLORY in Heaven!
Heaven's Garden TREASURE is
walking beside God, with Him -- Acts 7.
       God's SHEKINAH  GLORY seen!

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
READING 1:
Acts 7: 55-60: [STEPHEN], being full of the Holy Spirit,
gazed into heaven and saw the GLORY of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; ...
59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”
60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.”
And when he had said this, he fell asleep. >>> immediately to Reading 2:

Reading 2
God's word, through 2nd Corinthians 5:8 tells us that -
to be absent from the body [is] to be present with the Lord.

SECOND CORINTHIANS 5: 4, 8      NKJV           CLICK HERE FOR LINK
"For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life...  We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord."
