Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
It took 11 months for me to finish developing this song... a long time for me.  (With God's empowering, and the 2 studios He began providing in 2010, we average publishing 5 songs per month).

I believe God was waiting until I learned about 7/4 time.... I never had even heard of it until I "accidentally" found a drummer CD that included this info. Nothing else had fit my concept... and 7/4 and 5/4  fit it perfectly, creating an  off-balance feel that matches the words.  Creator God has some pretty exciting concepts to entrust to us humans whom He honors with co-creation such as for music and art.

THEN   I accidentally hit the transpose button,  and recorded Part 3 in a different key... which I didn't realize until I got home after that part's  recording session.  When I “goof” I always pray to see if there's some way to use the goof (see song “God Guided Goofs”).  And God surely guided this one -- the GOOF key change bridge between the sections added a perfect transition from fear to praise!

Song Story:  THE  SCRIPTURE SUPPORT:
.“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express..”  -- Romans 8:26

“Con”  means  “against”  fusion  -- against  “having it all together” or feeling in control of all the parts of your life.

But “Con” also means  “WITH”  --

and prayers fuses us to be WITH God, “all together.”
(This is NOT  an  “autobiographical”  song (for which I deeply  thank God).    It applies to 1000s... and I pray it will help many people.)

Dedicated to our LISTENING Lord, 25 Nov 2008

LYRICS
PART 1

A pile of bills on my table.
Confusion reigns! Don't feel able
to figure out how I'll pay these!
My fears and doubts drive me to knees

2

Doctor can't see why there's such pain
Suggests I get new opinion
Says maybe hope. Still my tears spill.
New doctor means new doctor bill.
Don't know what to say - my thoughts freeze.
Don't know what to pray so God's pleased.
Don't know HOW to pray -- what words mean
BUT I know WHAT words -- "God help me!”
Mark Nine:  Two-Four,  "God help me.... believe!"

                      [Mark 9: 24]

PART 2
3

Just what is prayer?  Supplication?
Some people say       invocation.
Others say pray         adoration.
HOW DO I PRAY WITH CONFUSION??

4

Some people say prayer's confession.
    Some say prayer is intercession.
I JUST WANT TO PRAY SIMPLE WORDS,
JUST WANT TO SPEAK  AND KNOW GOD'S HEARD!
Jesus promised in John Fourteen
"Ask and God hears and you'll receive
IF you trust God and want His will.”
SO I know WHAT words ---- "God help me!"
Romans Eight:  Two-Six--- God helps... me pray!    [Romans 8: 26]

PART 3 “CHORUS”
1

Prefix “Con” can mean “together.”
The Word “Fusion” means “together.”
“ConFusion” means I'm together with my God.
Prayer is simply talking   and listening.

2   prayer
Thank You I really thank You,
Praise You, I really praise You,
Trust You I really trust God's Name:
Creator, Father Savior and my King!

3
.prayer
Thank You I really thank You,
Praise You, I really praise You,
Bless You, I really bless God's Name:
Holy God,  Helper,  Brother   and my  Friend.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
JESUS “SPOKE A PARABLE TO THEM, THAT MEN ALWAYS
OUGHT  TO  PRAY   . AND  NOT  LOSE  HEART.”          -- Luke 18:1  NKJV

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. ...14 -16 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it]. ..If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter,
that He may abide with you for ever.”  -- John 14  KJV  (entire chapter)
Romans 12: 9, 11-12 NKJV :::
“[Let] love [be] without hypocrisy.  Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good....not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;   rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation,
continuing steadfastly in prayer......”

Psalm 119 Loving Living Word 49 Zayin, by DianaDee Osborne

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
I was checking out my “untitled” folder... was interested in the studio file I'd done a few weeks earlier called “untitled Dm Rag”, with my piano on top of a canned drum loop.
    Started playing with the song.
Completed the drums and that bass line I really like.
Corrected jazz timing for the piano;   added sax  track to guide me when I would be recording the vocals at the studio, since the melody is a bit tricky.

Only after I finished the tracks did I pull out my Bible and ask God,
OK,  what should I do with this?

Since I had been working on the Psalm 119 series, 1-1/2 years after I first had the concept to do this (while in a summer-long Bible Study on this single Psalm).... I opened my Bible to Psalm 119.  It fell to Zayin.

The words fit the jazz meter of the already-created music.  My Hebrew instructor / Shabbat fellowship leader Rick Blankenship had come to the studio to record the entire Hebrew alphabet, since I knew I'd never pronounce the letters right.  As a last-minute thought which I am sure the Holy Spirit provided,  I asked Rick to also provide the meaning for each Hebrew Letter.
On the same studio night,  the producer recorded and did his audio improvements to a track where I read the entire Psalm 119 straight through.

KEEPING IN MIND THAT I  RECORDED THE SCRIPTURES LONG BEFORE THE MUSIC:   NOTICE THE CHORD THAT THE WORD “INDIGNATION” LANDS ON IN THE READING.

It's a REALLY weird, harsh chord.
When I recorded the chord, it was a MISTAKE-----
and I liked its weirdness, so I just kept the piano track unchanged.  In fact, I EMPHASIZED the mistake by making it the melody note!      And I did NOT plan this location for the scripture to land on.... a harsh chord for “indignation.”   I just dropped in the scripture track and it landed there.  This is GOD'S  planning... and it has happened a number of times, as earlier stories tell.

And so for this song,  I created a project that cut out the pieces for the Zayin scripture reading and Rick's alphabet reading.  And thus God has guided yet another of His songs of Psalms for His people that puts HIS Words to music.  This is God's project that I am honored to develop under the Holy Spirit's guidance and empowering.                                  -ddo

LYRICS

FIRST READING  --   PSALM 119, LOVING LIVING WORD  (49 - 56)
Zayin -- a weapon.                   (New King James Version)
49      Remember the word to Your servant,
upon which You have caused me to hope.
50     This is my comfort in my affliction,     For Your word has given me life.
51     The proud have me in great derision,  Yet I do not turn aside from Your law.
52     I remembered Your judgments of old, O Lord,  And have comforted myself.
53    Indignation has taken hold of me because of the wicked,
        who forsake Your law.
54     Your statutes have been my songs  In the house of my pilgrimage.
55      I remember Your name in the night, O Lord,  And I keep Your law.
56     This has become mine,  Because I kept Your precepts.

ORIGINAL NEW SONG
1
Remember the Word to Your servant upon
which You, God, have caused me to have hope.   This is
my comfort in troubles. For Your Word, Lord gives me
Life.  The proud mock me so much,  and yet
I won't turn from Your Law, O God.  And I
remember Your judgments You gave us so long ago.
    God's Law is Comfort.  Psalm one-hundred-Nineteen, 49 to 56.
    God remembers His Promise!

2
Disgust has taken hold of me LORD, because
wicked people have forsaken God's Law...

God's Statutes are my songs  anywhere I have
traveled.  O LORD, I remember Your Name
all DAY.  And I remember Your Name
in the night.  O my LORD< I keep Your Law, it's now mine.
    God's Law is Comfort .  Psalm one-hundred-Nineteen,

49 to 56.
    God remembers His Promise!

---
QUESTION:  ARE  YOU  disgusted by the people who say
God doesn't have power to keep mistakes out of His bible?

Are YOU disgusted by people who say Jesus ended God's Law rather than believing Jesus's Word in Matthew 5:17 and elsewhere?   Psalm 49's ZAYIN was APPROVED BY GOD, remember,  or it wouldn't be in God's bible Book of Psalms.

I  WILL NOT   forget Your Word!

-----------
QUESTION:   In Matthew 5:17,  Jesus SPECIFICALLY said that He did not destroy God's Law... that the Law will not pass away before every part of this earth does.
So....
how can people quickly read God's Word like this and say that the
commandments that show WHAT GOD WANTS US TO DO  are no longer valid?
IT'S NOT LOGICAL TO SAY THAT.
Even though the Law cannot save us... only Jesus's sacrifice and our acceptance of Him as LORD can ...Romans 9:10.... that does NOT mean the Law has ended!

LET US CONTINUE TO DELIGHT OURSELVES in God's statutes!
They show His love and -- JUST as importantly -- show how we who love HIM can
demonstrate that love... by seeking to follow His way for God and not "heaven".

Church Gardening Tools (Parable Song), by DianaDee Osborne

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
A simple inspiration: Wondering why we church people think Jesus would tell us to bear lots of fruit without giving us the tools and power He as God KNOWS we need?  From there I started pondering a parable of what it would be like if we-- as God's children -- were ordered by him to "go tell the world" (end of Matthew) and to help the hungry-sick-poor "or else" (Jesus's warning in Matthew 25) ....
but we didn't have the power and resources to do so.
And what if our Heavenly Dad didn't GIVE us any help or encouragement............

When you really think about it, you become indignant that people blame God for acting like the parent in the first part of this song.... ordering weak children to work hard, without any help or encouragement.  I built that into a simple music melody.... reflecting children's songs.
Song excerpt Public Domain “God of Grace and God of Glory” by Harry Emerson Fosdick and John Hughes    CCLI #43107

Dedicated to our Help---ing Lord, 26 March 2011

LYRICS
1
“Go and plant a garden,”   I told my little weak child.   “Next
summer I want lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, lettuce,
bright green peppers, and you KNOW how much I love chives!   It's
warm now, so go plant ....... my garden.”
2
I gave my child NO garden tools, I gave my child No seeds.  She
tried real hard to please me, but all she grew was weeds.  Then I
yelled real loud, “You STUPID Child, you did NOT obey me, so
now you're not allowed in my house.”
3
I PRAY you know this is a parable song.  But isn't this just like we act?   We
know Jesus said in John 14 and 15 to go and bear much fruit to show
we're His disciples, but we make excuse we're too weak for Him to use,
though He promised help.

CHORUS
God of Grace, and God of Glory,

on Thy people, pour Thy power.
We, Your people need Your Spirit!

On Your Church,  Lord,    pour Your Power!

4
Even in churches, how much do we pray to ask  Holy Spirit to help?  We do
NOT respect God when we don't pray to ask Master Gardener for tools to serve Him.
How can we grow great fruit without Him?  John Chapter 14 says
churches that want fruit must ask God's help!        CHORUS

5
If you pray, if you ask anything,

Jesus said He SHALL send you tools.  His
Holy Spirit gives the resources you need so
you can obey Him and bear fruit, John 15: 6.
Don't be too PROUD to pray to God.
Ask the Master Gardener for
tools to grow fruit for Him.
               >> CHORUS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
JESUS:      “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and
bear fruit and that your fruit shall remain….”                       --John 15:    6a  NKJV (all)
”...that whatever you ask the Father in My name, he may give you....”        --John 15: 16b
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.  AND WHATEVER you ask in My name, that I will do THAT THE FATHER may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it, IF you keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.”  -- 14: 12-16

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
This was written in the gym on an elliptical machine, listening to Joyce Meyer's message after she said “There's gotta be some changes.  Mostly what you need to change is your attitude.”  I wrote in the margin,  “I think Psalm 107 fits..... complaining.”
The music came from just playing around making up power-piano exercises for fun that same day.  I started thinking,  "hey that fits today's gym song!"   Another of God's Creative inspirings....

Dedicated to LORD Jesus  25 August 2012

LYRICS
1
There's gotta be some changes
    so I can be happy
There's gotta be some changes  ---

so I'll have JOY and Peace.
I gotta CHOOSE the way I see ----   stop thinking selfishly,
        Have the mind of CHRIST....
Ephesians 4 describes the   way God says to be ---

              with His HELP!
(with His help)  ---  “God, HELP!”         (God help!)

2
There's gotta be some changes
and they must start with ME.
'Cause I can NOT change people --- or God, definitely!
I must DECIDE to change my attitude
    stop thinking selfishly

        Have the mind of CHRIST....
Ephesians 4 describes the   way God says to be --- with His HELP!
(with His help)  ---  “God, HELP!”         (God help!)

3
There's gotta be some changes
for us to have God's  PEACE.
God calls us to think like HIM -- patient and lovingly!

We all CAN CHOOSE the way we trust God

           in all things and
    CHOOSE if we'll
        Have the mind of CHRIST....

Ephesians 4 describes the   way God says to be --- with His HELP!
(with His help)  ---  “God, HELP!”         (God help!)

SPOKEN:   From Galatians 5:17.
“The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires.

These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions... “
-- Galatians 5:17 (one verse), New Living Translation ....
The HOLY SPIRIT is our  Changer.
See verses 19 to the  end for the changes..

PRAYER-   “God, HELP!”    LORD,  I truly pray this.  I've failed so many times... THANK YOU that You do not abandon me.  I pray You will help me SEE that You indeed help when I ask and truly seek to change my attitude,  my mind to be like Christ's.
Philippians 2:5.     First Peter 4: 1.

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
Ephesians 4:      4, 14, 20-32
New American Standard Bible (NASB)  - Unity of the Spirit
4b ... walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace...

14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ... 20 But you did not learn Christ in this way, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, 22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. 26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and do not give the devil an opportunity. 28 He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need. 29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
FEAR: A feeling that inspires thoughts. SIN: *Dwelling* on the feeling's thoughts -- doubting that God will do what He has promised.

FAITH: Trusting God, no matter your feelings.

Although many songs share a bit about me, most don't share much.
I confess to discomfort about even sharing this honest prayer song.
It is not about family or health... Some days I think that if I were a stranger, I'd think “DianaDee is paranoid.”

But many prayers for James 1:5 wisdom... honestly prayed... reveal the truth that the sorrows in the Psalms are not from paranoia --- and -- sadly -- neither are yours and mine,   most likely.

People, influenced by self-centeredness and Satan (including you and me, which is why God gave us James 4:7 and 8, First Peter 5:8, John 8:44, and more) DO hurt others. And thus, this prayer song shares more than I'd like, but I believe God is guiding me to share its honesty to perhaps help others... maybe you... come closer to God -- our ONLY source of true loving help.
AS, I pray, will God's first full song through me
may: Above My Sorrow Sea (Psalm 124 and 147).

LYRICS
INTRO RIFFS  (from   ABOVE MY SORROW SEA)

If You were not with me, LORD....

If You were not beside me....
You heal all the broken-hearted.
You bind up our gaping wounds.         (PSALM 124, 147)

1
Sometimes I fear to let thoughts escape my mind. BUT
always my prayers give thanks for the love of God.
YET still I fear to allow my thoughts to rise ---
afraid that once I say the thing, I'll never be able to stop.
BUT, my LORD, I love You, God

I believe Your Romans 8: 28 Word that You'll bring some GOOD.
BUT I fear to speak my hear aloud. Will I ever stop weeping inside?

2
Sometimes I fear to let my mind stay on my thoughts. BUT
always my prayers apologize to God for this.
YET still I fear if I DON'T SMACK DOWN my thoughts, the
weeping sorrow will again begin and never stop.

I KNOW, God, my LORD will keep ev'ry promise.
AND I TRUST God's Romans 8:28 Word that He'll bring some GOOD.
AND although I seldom speak my heart to people, I trust God though I cry.

ENDING RIFFS
(from   ABOVE MY SORROW SEA)
BUT You, LORD do keep Your promise!

And you're always beside me,
lifting me above the waters of my SORROW SEA...
(PSALM 147)

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
“Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have
put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? All day they twist my words; All
their thoughts are against me for evil... You [GOD] number my wanderings; Put my tears
into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book? In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me? -- Psalm 56: 3-5, 8, 11

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
Sadly, the lyrics were written in the prayer closet... a weary prayer.

Happily,  God's song comforts me... and maybe it will help you.  Bring a Romans 8:28 out of the cause of my sadness that day.

Satan uses physical fatigue to his strategic advantage, also.
Be wary.      Learn from Peter's failure --
AND  the Romans 8:28 Jesus brought out of Peter's betrayal --   a much stronger disciple who learned lessons
he teaches you & me across the centuries

about Satan,  the master chess player
who will lie & cheat & do anything he can
to try to make YOU feel  like a failure...

and to give up on God, too.

To get you to forget God's promises & Warnings!  And to KILL and  DESTROY you, Jesus warns us... get you to  pridefully ignore Jesus's sacrifice. John 8:44.

Dedicated to Protector LORD God, 30 June 2013

1
What is there to say,  LORD?  What is there to pray?

NOT in what I say or do:
ONLY in You,  God.

IF  I wait on YOU,  God.  Philippians 4, verse 13 strength
WHEN  I  WAIT,  pray,  TRUST  GOD ...........

2
My head cannot pray,  LORD.  My heart's so heavy.
Holy Spirit, please pray for me ---  Romans 8:  26.
I have failed so very often.  Yet I'll trust Jesus.  He
gives me promises --- If I wait on God.... God   WILL  bring
GOOD from what I GIVE to Him.

ONLY in You,  God.
IF  I wait on YOU,  God.  Philippians 4, verse 13 strength

Satan's out to kill us.   ----   First Peter 5:8.
We see comfort in Peter's  failures ---- Christ can save us  too!  --- IF  we set aside pride,  humbly confess,  wait on God,  He'll bring
GOOD from what   we    GIVE to Him.

ONLY in You,  God.

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
Written in minutes during a time of forcing myself to trust that -- despite circumstances -- God will do what's best with the music ministries  I pray bring Him  joy.

Dedicated to THE LORD, 16 July 2013 - the Ninth of Av

INTRODUCTORY READING FROM NUMBERS 13 AND 14:

THE 9TH OF AV IS A DATE ON ISRAEL'S CALENDAR
THAT WARNS ALL OF US TODAY.
From Numbers 13,  starting at 25:

The 12 spies returned from spying out the land after 40 days.  They told Moses and Aaron and all the children of Israel in the wilderness of Paran,

27- 31    [paraphrase]  The land truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its huge fruit.  Nevertheless, the people who dwell in the land are strong.  The cities are fortified and very large.  Ten of the 12 said “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”  And they gave the children of Israel a BAD report of the land, including “We saw giants.... and we were like grasshoppers....”

NUMBERS 14 -- So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night.  And all the children of Israel complained, “Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword?”

NUMBERS 14 continues, telling how the people wanted to RETURN to Egypt.  How the people REFUSED to trust God's love and protection after all God had done.  And starting in verse 21,  GOD says --

“Because they have seen my glory and the signs and have not heeded My voice,  they certainly shall NOT see the land I promised."

The date was the Ninth of Av, when the people refused to trust God.  Refused to OBEY God.  And in the centuries since then, many bad things have happened to Israel on the Ninth of Av.   Romans 11 tells how God grafts into His people all of us who trust Him as LORD and obey.  So.... the NINTH OF AV STILL WARNS US TODAY.

LYRICS
1
Israel repeatedly turned against the LORD
God Who had shown them LOVE.
Psalm One-Hundred-Five  and  -Six  tell how      Psalm 105, 106
Israel stopped trusting their loving God

2
On the 9th day of Av  they chose -- refused --
to enter the Land God gave them.
And bad things still happen on the 9th of Av --
as God reminds them to trust HIM.

3
What of US ?   Do we refuse to trust God despite
all of the Love God shows?
Will we force God to teach   US   with Bad problems --
as God reminds US to trust HIM?

CONCLUSION:
Psalm 105 and 106, summarizes these events.
God never forgets History-changing dates.  Do we?
THIS IS A HEART-BREAKING SONG of what we STILL  do to God, who has already
done so MUCH for us... yet we  struggle to  trust Him.                                        And thus HURT Him.
And give Satan SO much joy... like in the beginning-- hinting that God lied to Eve and Adam...

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
This was really pretty cool.  God's song.  As I was going downstairs to create the music files for Part 2 of FAILURE WAITING PRAYER, for which I'd written the music   while waiting for church that day, I realized there was a “melody in my head”.  I decided to record it quickly, and did so under the title “Untitled in F July 2013”.  (Got a few others:)

But then I pulled out my Bible to glance at the early psalms... I'm seeking to serve God “filling in” those I haven't yet recorded.  4-1/4 hours later, I had completed this song.. music & lyrics.  And prayed,  “Wow, God, this is SOMETHING! “     Oh -- And I  finished the other song's files  before going to bed.  Ephesians 3:20 again,  God's empowering... Which is ALSO Psalm 20!

Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
Dedicated to our Benedicting Blessing God, 7 July  2013 ,

LYRICS
PART 1 - Joyful    with intro and interludes
1
May the LORD answer you in troubles.   May the
Name of God defend you!  May God
send help from His sanctuary and  strengthen you out of Zion!           [short interlude]
2
May God remember all your off'rings and
accept your sacrifices.  May He
grant your prayers,  your heart's desires,  and fulfill all of your purpose!

3      AFTER FULL INTERLUDE
We rejoice in the LORD's Salvation.  And
declare God's Name in our life!  May the
LORD fulfill these prayers  -- as He guided  in Psalm 20's  Benediction.

PART 2  - quieter at first,  then building
4
The LORD saves His anointed --  those who love God's righteousness!
God through Psalm 45, verse 7  tells us who He anoints        [His reqt for anointing]
God answers His anointed from heaven --- Psalm 20,  verse 6-  - who love Him,
Psalm 20's promise.
With God's right hand HE will give you SAVING STRENGTH -- IF you love Him.

5
Some trust wealth.
Some trust power.
BUT  WE trust God's Holy Name!
They will fall but    we who trust the LORD
shall rise -----  IN  HIS  NAME!
                                                                                                               [a prophecy!]
God will save His anointed from heaven --- Psalm 20,  verse 6 -- who love Him,
Psalm 20's promise.
With God's right hand HE will give you SAVING STRENGTH -- IF you love Him.

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
God to you through the Psalmist.... Psalm 20: 6-7
“Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.  Some trust in chariots, and some in horses  [in RICHES and POWER]    BUT WE will remember the Name of the LORD our God!”

Seized Dreams Redeemed, by DianaDee Osborne

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
As I was driving,  I turned the radio to a station I do not usually hear at that hour.  The radio announcer asked,   “What do you do when your dreams are taken away?”

This was  a question whose wording  I had not thought of.  But I certainly had been thinking a lot about lost dreams.   In the past 3 years, several ministries that I had loved were no longer possible for me to serve God with.  Yet God had, as promised, replaced what had been taken away by circumstances that  I'm sure were not in His will.  Sure after much prayer and talking with pastors and Christ-following friends.

And so, after this radio question,  I had to pull over into a parking lot, finish my self-centered crying, and talk with our LORD God.  And the lyrics of this song were written in 8 minutes as I answered the radio question for myself.
I changed the words in Line 2a to be “right out loud” instead of just “loud” in order to fit the music.  That was my one change to what I know is God's song. I pray it comforts you too.

dedicated to our LORD of Dreams, 11 July  2013

INTRODUCTION:  THE  RADIO ANNOUNCER:
Announcer: Welcome to WDDR, DiDoReflectionsDotCom, where the songs remind us of God's command through 2nd Corinthians 3:18,  to  DIE to self,  DO for Christ,  and REFLECT God,  all with the Holy Spirit's help.  Today we've invited callers to ask the questions on their heart, and our first caller is on the line now.  What's your question today?

Caller:   Hey,  I'm  JOHNNY  from FLORIDA   and I was wondering:
What do you do when you've prayed and prayed, but it seems that all your dreams have been taken away? _______  I   KNOW   the Sunday school answer is to just have faith and wait....   but I was wondering....

Announcer:  That's a GREAT question, _____.  We also know Jesus was FULL of faith, and yet as a human, Jesus also had feelings.  One of God's comforting words to us is in John 11: 35,  that Jesus had faith and yet wept.....  Often it takes MORE faith to trust God in the sad times....  to trust God even when it seems that all our our dreams have been seized.  To trust that, like God says in Romans 8: 28,  God WILL  redeem our dreams and bring something good....  in time.......

DURING INTERLUDE:   Repeat caller's question     (above).

LYRICS
VERSE  1 - SORROWFULLY
First you cry -- maybe inside.
Not wanting others to see weakness.
Then you whine for awhile,  to yourself.  Maybe to God.

trying hard to keep inside   heartbreak    at lost dreams.

INTERLUDE  1      Jeremiah 29: 11-13
'For I know the plans that I  have for you,' declares the LORD,
'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
'Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek Me and
FIND  Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
[The LORD God is speaking to His people Israel in Jeremiah 29...  BUT
through His son Jesus, God invites ANYONE who accepts Him as LORD to be

part of this promise... Grafted In  to God's chosen people;  see Romans 11.]

VERSE  2  - LOUDLY
Then you declare -- right out LOUD:
“I SHALL  I  SHALL  TRUST  my  God!”
“No MATTER  how I hurt inside --
I TRUST  God's Love  through Mark 9 times.
[Mark 9 is full of descriptions of sorrow filled times -- and of FAITH,
like the father's faith-filled prayer “I believe... Help my unbelief!”]

“I trust God REDEEMS our dreams.... even when they're seized.”

INTERLUDE  2       Ephesians 3: 20-21
“ Now to Him  who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

PART 3 -  CHORUS
No matter what dreams have been seized,   God
KEEPS all His promises to redeem your dreams.
Even if your FIRST dreams are destroyed or seized,  when

you surrender your hopes to God,
God brings more than you ever could have dreamed!

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
CONCLUSION      First Chronicles 4: 9a  and 10
Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!"    So God granted him what he requested.    (NKJV all)
