Album: Amazing Lord 'n' Life
Song Story: THE MUSIC:
Because God's rainbows are usually arched... not counting those cute
"sun dog" rainbow pieces that sometimes appear between clouds.... I
considered what music would reflect an arch. Flowing arpeggios running
for several octaves down a KEYBOARD seem to fit my concept.
I chose to keep my BASS mistakes (which were rather odd... I'm usually better),
because they seemed to add to the sadness just below the surface of life.... like the gray clouds that exist even amid the beautiful rainbows God sends to bring us hope.
I chose a breathy FLUTE to reflect the "breath-less amazement" we have -- or should have -- that the Creator of Rainbows really.... really... loves us and sent Jesus to bring us HOPE that is fulfilled when we just look UP to Him.... John 3: 4 and 15 (which comes before "the famous" verse 16). And of course, the Cathedral ORGAN reflects the MAJESTY of our LORD God!
Song Story: THE LYRICS:
This parable song was inspired by remembering the story of someone who had died and been resuscitated. He spoke of how bright the colors were during his"death" experience.
--- inspired by hearing the 'music' within a church body's speaking in tongues,
--- inspired by the closer-than-I'd-prefer inspection of first a
bee's fine veined wings and then a dragonfly's iridescent wings, …..
--- inspired by by the comforting feel of thick warmth from a new blanket.
Each day we have an opportunity to see more closely the glories of God's
world.... if we open our hearts as well as our eyes and ears to God's
Own Glory now, with a joy-filled awaiting of Heaven's rainbows to come
after our Life's storms are past

Photographs of rainbows are always more dim than
God's great creation, as if drawn in crayon: Just a

Our words can be rainbows to help people through storms, as we
tell them that God loves them and will help through their storms.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
Romans 10:9
As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced."
