Song Story: THE LYRICS:

I sketched out early verses in May. Couldn't figure out what to do with them. At ALIVE Music festival camp, I flipped thru journal for projects to finish. God gave Chorus!

Song Story: THE MUSIC: I wanted some "ethereal" sound for the chorus,

plus more "normal" orchestrated music for the verses. I prayed for wisdom,

randomly selected the GROOVING category of GarageBand loops in my library,

and randomly first hit a loop named "12-bar". I copied that loop into a track,

then copied the same loop onto a 2nd track, and the same loop on a 3rd.

I'd already developed chords and melody while sitting on a porch a few days before.

So I played the music and then adjusted the 3 loops to basically follow 3 main notes

of the music. Finally, I needed a rather powerful sound to go with the verses,

where the 3 loops did not play. Very first music sound I selected was perfect.

Yet again: God's Holy Spirit guiding the creativity of His songs. Ephesians 3:20.

Song Story:

During a break at the 2014 ALIVE Music festival in Ohio,
I wrote the lyrics for verses 1 & 2... in 5 minutes. Verse 3 was harder...
It took another 5 minutes. And I had “music in my head” as I wrote these.
The chords were finalized and the song recorded one week later.
It's not bragging about “God is my Daddy” to honor Him with these words:
These songs are not my talent... they are far beyond me. A gift from Him
that amazes and humbles me. May this song bring peace to children you know.........
and to you, God's Child if you have accepted His yearning offer to be your Father.

Song Story:

I fell asleep in an Amish wooden rocker on my daughter's porch, exhausted and not yet recuperated from a ten-hour drive from Ohio's ALIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL in June 2014. Within minutes, I awakened somewhat refreshed...
and suddenly realized there were not only lyrics but music "in my head" --
the first half of this song. I carefully examined them and also realized:
This was another original song gift from our LORD God for me to develop.

Dedicated to our Lord, 24 June 2014. Recorded, in His empowering, 27 June.

Song Story: THE LYRICS:

The obvious thought processes for a song of this topic did inspire the idea... but so did Nehemiah 10: 28-31, oddly. CLICK HERE FOR LINK
All of Israel had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the Law of God-- their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone who had knowledge and understanding … They were willing to risk hostility and mocking by entire nations, to do what God said was Right –-
simply because God said it was Right to do.

Song Story: THE MUSIC:
After writing the "sweet" parts on guitar, I wanted something "blasting" for the types of hostility done against Jesus. I'd written the guitar chords while waiting for choir practice, so with "minutes til time" for practice, I sat at the piano and
"just started playing" pounding E minor chords... then the progressions "as they came to mind" -- The Holy Spirit's guidance, I am completely convinced.

CONCEPT:

Although God is omnipresent, He has chosen to manifest His presence in certain locations and at certain times within history. This physical manifestation of God has come to be called the Shekinah. – BibleStudyTools.com, A Testimony of Jesus Christ, Section 16.2

Song Story: THE LYRICS:

Yet another song idea from God that was done quickly... far too quickly to
be my own skill. The GARDEN hymns were on my mind after choir practice. And then I
began thinking--- what was the best part of the Garden of Eden? Not perfection of
Creation. It was GOD's physical presence.
And then the joy of 2nd Corinthians 5:8 came to mind...

Song Story:   LYRICS
    These basic lyrics were sketched into my Leather Journal #23 (I didn't count those in the spiral cardboard journals – just dated them). One day four months later, I was praying about how it seemed NOTHING that I did was accomplishing anything.

     Too weary to write any more, I started flipping into the older journal to see if I had any more songs ready to type up and record. I found these, and wrote the music on guitar in 15 minutes. Don't know if it will “accomplish anything” … but maybe it will give peace to someone. As it did for me.

Song Story: MUSIC
    It took a long time after finishing the lyrics set before I had the music, even though I had this good (I think) easy to remember melody for encouraging ourselves... because the good easy to remember melody by itself was boring.
    I kept praying that the LORD would help me improve the music...
   That I was said because “average” music does NOT honor Him, so I didn't feel
this was good enough....
I pray that He finds pleasure in this “final result” of a song about one of
the most encouraging verses in His Book of Proverbs:

Song Story: THE LYRICS:

Just a sadness to see how many caring people in churches are thinking that
they are being loving when they tell people that God will forgive them even if
they do something the Bible says not to -- because God has changed.
Hebrews 13:8 -- that is a lie. Jesus is God (John 10:30 etc), and Jesus doesn't change.

READING: Matthew 5:17-19, Jesus is speaking:
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets.

we called diplomacy is plain Evil. _

Holy God defines _ sins _ At His Bible's End. _ _ Holy

God says clearly _ those who do these won't enter _ Heaven. _ _ Palm-

ists and witches, all in the occult _ seeking power _ without God, _ i-
dolators _ loving things, and people _ worship them, and not God _ AND
all who do immoral things , _ repeatedly naming homosexual things _ And
In this Revelations 22 list are
those who love lies and gossip .
