Song Story:  THE  MUSIC
 I really had fun searching GarageBand loops to find the growly, angry sounds for the instruments, and Johnny at J&T Studio added great creative touches with vocal effects.  And that SUPER cool echo at the end.... "TO STAND....."
      The song deliberately begins with a rather quiet version of the old hymn "Onward Christian Soldiers."  The bass plays the alto line, with many of the hymn's major chords changed into minor ones.  I decided to keep some of the slightly-wrong notes (bass and vocal)  to "push" the theme of discomforting Truth from God:  Satan exists.
THE  LYRICS:

• Inspired by my favorite T-shirt:  “Make War on the Floor... Ephesians 6: 10-18”  
• Inspired by an especially upsetting week of repeated moments of impatience and anger --- and then (with shame at my delay)  finally remembering God's warnings here. 
• Inspired by newspaper headlines of an overseas battle and the thought from God ---  If people there did not BELIEVE they were at war, they would be quickly killed walking through mine fields.... not believing the danger.   

       Are we as God's People  Jews and Christians  really so ignorant of God's WORD that Satan hates us? And SCHEMES evil plans to try to trick us into sinning against Holy God?  (See 2nd  Corinthians 2: 10-11).
       If not, then WHY  don't we pray more on our knees.... at home  AND together as Christ's Body.... for God's protection from Satan's temptations and attempts to destroy us?

SPOKEN:
      If you say you believe the Bible is God's Word, then you must believe this warning from God in Ephesians 6: 10-18.... “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to STAND  against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities....

• against powers, 
• against the rulers of the darkness of this age,  
• against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

      Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to  STAND ...................."
