Hope Through Dark Rain, by DianaDee Osborne

HOPE  THROUGH  DARK  RAIN
ALBUM:      Amazing Psalms 'n' Promises
Song location:
Song Story:  THE  MUSIC https://dianadeeosbornesongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

The thunderstorm was my "first", designed with a controller keyboard.  I could "do it better" now with an extra year of experience.  It's rather amusing if you listen closely -- the pounding rain suddenly just STOPS as if turned off with a switch... then surges back in suddenly.   Even then I managed to sound more natural with most of the storm, but I missed a few spots.
I  WAS  planning to go back and do the easy fixes to moderate the volume in places for the different rain tracks so they would sound natural.

But suddenly -- I'm pretty sure it was the Holy Spirit's idea to not be "proud" about fixing all mistakes -- I realized that SUDDEN STOPS and STARTS in the storm are a PARABLE for us:   Our lives are going wonderfully,  then a storm slams us.  Then the problems suddenly are resolved.... until a short while later we're again pelted by hail type problems.

So the background of this song actually reflects Life's true storms -- as well as The God who loves and is with us through it all -- IF  we invite Him into our lives.

Song Story:  THE  LYRICS:
Written  literally amid being in The Alabama / Mississippi / etc (USA) Day of Tornadoes, 27 April 2011.    Recorded during the weeks of flooding that followed those torrential rains.

God was there, thru our dark tears and hearts...
answering those who upon Him,  called....
Dedicated to our Answering God, 1 May 2011

LYRICS

1
The rain..... keeps comin'.    The tears.... keep comin'.
Dark skies without.   Dark heart within.
Flood waters fillin' each creek, low land, hollow.
Flood waters fillin'... my soul,  my soul.    Dark rain.... drowning my soul.
“BE STILL:    KNOW GOD IS GOD --- Psalm  46.

CHORUS 1
But my HOPE is in the Lord our God  Who made earth, skies, and seas.
My HOPE is in our Lord Jesus Who
died on a Cross loving me (First John, One),
died on a Cross loving YOU.
Though mountains may shake and seas may roar with
storms that pound at me,
My HOPE is in our Lord Jesus Who
died on a Cross loving me    (First John, One),
died on a Cross loving  YOU.

Died on a Cross loving me.... died on a Cross loving YOU.

2
My heart keeps hoping.
My MIND keeps knowing that feelings may lie, But God never lies.
Just simple logic, plus Titus 1, verse 2.
Flood waters  can-NOT drown my hopes,   my soul.

CHORUS 2
AND  my HOPE is in the Lord our God  Who made earth, skies, and seas.
My HOPE is in our Lord Jesus Who
died on a Cross loving me (First John, One),
died on a Cross loving YOU.
Though mountains may shake and seas may roar with
storms that pound at me,
My HOPE is in our Lord Jesus Who
ROSE from the dead loving me (First John, One),
ROSE from the dead loving YOU..... AND
still lives today calling me (First John, One),.... still lives today calling YOU.
.... still lives today calling YOU.

SUPPORTING WORDS:

1 John 4: 9   New Living Translation.  God showed how much he loved us by sending His One and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
1 John 5:30, NLT.  And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God.  And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
Psalm 46:  1- 4, 10  New KJV
God is our  [YOUR]  refuge and strength, a very PRESENT  help in time of trouble. Therefore we will NOT fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.  SELAH…..BE STILL_____  AND
KNOW THAT   I AM   GOD.”
