            This is a pretty intense topic,  and my instant thought was to present it in a HUMOR song.  Weird, huh?  But I really think this was from God,

to point out in music what C.S. Lewis said years ago in his "Screwtape Letters" -- 
that Satan has 2 main tactics:  To make people think he's the Opposite of God
       (which is obviously not true since God *created* all things except Himself, including angels),
       and to make people think of some skinny guy in red tights with horns and a tail,
and then laugh at the idea of some devil existing.
       So I developed -- again with God's guidance, I am convinced -- a boogie woogie foundation beat.  The melody is repeated over and over so that people can hear the words more than paying attention to 'my' music.  And of course I threw in some major     CLASH chords to portray the angst / dread / "disquietude"    of the concept that
God's Word CLEARLY and REPEATEDLY in both covenant sections of the Bible
DECLARES  is Truth:  

Satan is an  evil angel who hates God,  

cannot hurt God,  

so tries to get you and me whom God so loved      

          to turn against God and pierce Him with pain.

            Late at night while traveling home from worship service, I had to pull into a closed Post Office parking lot to yet again record a great idea from God before I forgot it.  I wrote this entire set of lyrics in 10 minutes in that lot.  A radio speaker had just asked for this LOGIC --- Just what  *IS*  the Good News  if there  IS  NO hell?     Why would Jesus need to die on the cross if there was no hell to save us from?        

           And my own ongoing LOGIC is this ---  Is the God who created the entire universe unable to keep a few little humans from putting mistakes in the Bible?  Of course not. That is not  LOGICAL.

GOD's Supporting Scriptures:

Satan is always lying to us to try to draw us away from our GOD of TRUTH.  

John 8:44,  Jesus Himself said so repeatedly.  You've got to believe this or say Jesus lied:    "He  [the devil, whose name isSatan] was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies."    [NASB]

Lying  is actually the first recorded sin in the Bible --  when

SATAN  lies  and says   GOD  lied!  (Don't you know PEOPLE like that?) 
Genesis 3:  3 and 4  after Eve has reported God's word, "You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die."    Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

SATAN EXISTS.  Luke 10: 18-20.   JESUS is speaking:
And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."

It's logical that God CANNOT  lie,  or else He wouldn't be 'God':
Hebrews 6:18.  God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.  So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary."
