Let All Mortal Flesh COMMUNION SONG, arr. by DianaDee Osborne

LET  ALL  MORTAL  FLESH KEEP SILENCE
Communion Song  with "The Lord is in His Holy Temple"
ALBUM:      Amazing  Peace 'n' Passion
Song location  http://DianaDeeOsborneSongs.com/NEW-Songs.php
A friend and I for some reason before choir practice
were talking about old hymns,  and I commented about how comforting I found this
ancient hymn to be.  She has a lovely alto voice, and we were looking for a duet piece,
so I started checking in my collection of hymnals that I keep by the sanctuary piano
so that I can quickly find any old hymn the pastor mentions during his sermon and
play it as the postlude at the end of the church service.

We could not find  this hymn.
It's too gorgeous a hymn to let it "fall way" from people hearing it in this 21st century.
So, with God's guidance, I recorded it and begin adding contemporary jazz drums mixed into slight orchestration.  A wonderful song of our LORD's promise, as we remember Him  during Communion worship gatherings.  Dedicated to our  God, 12 July 2012

LYRICS
1
Let all mortal flesh keep silence,    and with fear and trembling stand.
Ponder nothing earthly-minded,    for with blessing in His hand,
Christ our God to earth descendeth --    our full homage to demand.
2
King of kings, yet born of Mary,    as of old on earth He stood.
Lord of lords, in human vesture,   in the Body and the Blood,
He will give to all the faithful        His own self for heavenly food.
3
Rank on rank the host of heaven    spreads its vanguard on the way.
As the Light of light descendeth    from the realms of endless day,
that the powers of hell may vanish

as the darkness clears away.

4
At His feet the six-winged seraph,  cherubim with sleepless eye,     SCRIPTURE LINK
veil their faces to the Presence   as with ceaseless voice they cry,
"Alleluia,           Alleluia!      Alleluia!   LORD most High!"
                                                                                                    (Isaiah 6:2 and Rev. 4:8)
PART 2  ( sung in the background  through verses 3 and 4)
The LORD is in His Holy temple.

Let all the earth keep silence before Him.

SPOKEN:
God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
from Habakkuk 2:  verses 1-3 and 20 New KVJ
"Then the LORD answered me and said: "Write the vision And make [it] plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.  For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. "Behold the PROUD--- His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith"..."But the LORD is in His holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before Him."
--Habakkuk 2:  [skipping 1 on the audio]  verses 1-3 and 20 New KJV

verse 1:  I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected.
