Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:

Songs from God via the  website are subjected to prayer-filled review by persons strong in not only faith but also a foundation of years of Bible studies.  This song was not even typed up before multiple reviews via e-mails to one another.  In case you're interested, this version is the original.... all reviewers agreed  that, as uncomfortable as this song is, it is in God's word multiple times.

Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:
Not many Bible events are reported in 3 out of 4 Gospel books from God.
This one is... twice in Luke, in fact.  Obviously it was important.
Jesus's teaching is obviously especially emphasized by God  >>>>>>

Jesus was not speaking only of INDIVIDUAS  who
heard Him and His Word and rejected Him.  Remember....
Jesus was also speaking about the church of that day.
The Pharisees were the respected church leaders.
Sometimes in the 21st century we also must take a stand,
must make the tremendously painful decision to leave a church we love.  Jesus says we must choose to do so if it does not stand upon God's Word as foundation, including His Word about the utter necessity of praying.... see Luke 22:46 as an example of His Word to the future church leaders of His earth-time.

God's SUPPORTING WORDS behind this song:

A time is coming... Luke 17 and Matthew 24 ... when many leaders IN CHURCHES will be led into false beliefs by charismatic, charming
'false prophets'       UNLESS.... unless... unless we pray together for the Holy Spirit's discernment.  If we depend on our own dedication to God and our own good intentions to follow Him, we are lost.  End of Ephesians 6 >>  We must PRAY.  TOGETHER.  Book of Ephesians was written to the CHURCH at Ephesus.

Matthew 10: 6-14,    Jesus instructing disciples:  "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead,  cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give....And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet."

Mark 6: 6-12,     "And He [Jesus] marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching. And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two and gave them power over unclean spirits....Also He said to them, "In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart from that place. And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them.' "  (New KJV)

Luke 9: 1-6,      "Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 'And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them.' So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.' "

Luke 10:10-11 (Jesus speaking), "But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, 'The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.' "

Yet God's firm warning IN church too:   Matthew 6: 14-15 original KJV,  Jesus speaking:    "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

Dedicated to our Holy God, 9 April 2011

LYRICS  to this simple encouragement song:

Nobody means to burn the toast,
but sometimes you choose to burn bridges.
And sometimes you must burn rubber to just
quickly follow God's Holy Spirit.

And sometimes God calls you to
shake the dust from comfortable,
            known-long-ago places.

with those who won't hear God's Call
to cross a dark bridge to Light....
          [to Truth]
