Song Story:  THE  MUSIC:

I sat down at the computer to type out  the music sheet for “People Of God Pray.” 

Somehow (God's how)   I found myself finding reading Isaiah 45, thinking “that would make a great song”, and checking Chapter 44 to be sure I wouldn't be taking it out of God's context.

        I fell in love with the words, God's words.

        I fell in *sorrow* at the end, where God speaks yet again of how often we people turn away from His love. 

                                       &   I  LOVE  G minor !

When we DEMAND to God "Deliver me!"....
when we pray,    "IF God answers me,  I'll believe---
    THEN  I'll  believe in You, God!...

When we worship Jesus just to get what we want....
when we pray "I did what you said -- If you DON'T  answer me,

We are not Christians if trying to be gods when
what we call "prayers" are really wishes for control--
You're treating our Loving God like some wooden idol --  Isaiah 44: Six.

You can get mad   if you want.
Isaiah 44: verse 20.
That's what idol worship does -- seeking to control --

and God   WILL   let you deceive 
your heart and your soul.
You're treating our Loving God like some wooden idol.

If you make prayers like idols...
Isaiah 44: verse 8,
You witness to them and NOT    to our Great God.
You're saying what YOU want is the   "rock" in your life!
You're treating our Loving God like some wooden idol.
Isaiah 44:  8.

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:

From ISAIAH 44:   verses 3, 6, and 8.     GOD tells us: 

    "I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground.  I will pour My Spirit on your descendants and My blessing on your offspring.  Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel. And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts:  "I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me, there is NO God.  Do not fear, nor be afraid.  Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? 

You are My witnesses.  Is there a God besides Me?
