Song Story: THE LYRICS:
Not too complicated. This was one of my earliest song giftings from God.... back when I truly did not expect Him to give me but a few songs as answers to my by-now-3-years of praying to write songs for Him. Not that I doubted our God's power. I just was (am) quite aware of all my many faults.... of how I assuredly did not (and do not) deserve the honor of writing God's word into musical format.
I had with God's help endured something at church 18 months earlier, but was still enduring things that I had no ability to do anything about. So I was thrilled to find the
"NO FEAR HERE" verse that because a full song on its own.... 2nd Timothy 1:7.
But -- with my poor memory -- I knew I'd soon forget.
So I took an earlier song gift from God, I PRAISE YOU DESPITE,
and started working in key verses to help me memorize WHERE to find God's Promises.
And God guided me to develop the song for you, to help you remember....

LYRICS
1You, God, are Almighty, and yet You love me.
Help me learn to trust You beyond what I see.
Proverbs 3: 5 and 6 promise You will guide me
even when I can't understand. Even when I can't see Your plan.
CHORUS
For You are my Savior! You've loved me forever.
I insult Your love when I say “God won't care.”
I insult Your power when I think my problems
are far more than I.... can bear, ......... can bear.
2
Two Timothy 1: 7 is God's promise:
I am free from fear when I have His Spirit.
Instead, I have love, power, self-discipline.
With You there's no spirit of fear in me.
I thank You for comforting me. <chorus>3
First Peter One promises: Trials help me.
They show ev'ryone that God will set us free!
When I show God's joy despite problems I see,
James 1 says, completeness I'll see in me.
God's crown of life will come to me! <chorus>
4
Not trials nor my sins can separate me
from God's love, He says -- Romans 8: 28.
Thankfully I stand firm in God's safe breast-plate.
Ephesians 6: God protects me,
when I put on His gifts to me. <chorus>
5
God calls US to stand firm and endure problems.
We support each other and endure hardships.
Two Timothy 2 says that we MUST endure.
Verse 10 says eternal glory we'll see.
Verse 13, God's faithful to me! <chorus>
OPTIONAL TAG
Second Timothy Chapter 3, in verse 12:
Problems come to all who seek to live Godly.
Yet 16 reminds us that God's Word is Truth.

SECOND TIMOTHY 3: 12, 16 NLT. LINK
12. Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
13. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived.
14. But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You
know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.
15. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have
given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in
Christ Jesus.
16. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true
and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when
we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. ©2009 DianaDee Osborne (all material), all rights reserved. FREE personal usage; see website.
