LYRICS

READING  1:   JESUS READING THE PROPHECY OF HIMSELF in the Temple
as He began His ministry:         [Isaiah 61:1]

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

1
At Your altar, God,  where-ever it may be,  I
bend to You my head and heart, here on bended knees.
    You're my only JOY.
    You're my only LOVE.

2
At Your altar, LORD, I give to You my life.  You
gave Yours first,  lifted the curse of sin  on Your Cross.
    You're my only HOPE.
    You're my only LOVE.

3
This Life I give You.  I'm weak and not real smart.  Your  E-
phesians 3, verse 20 says  You answer broken hearts.
    You're my only TRUST.
    You're my only LOVE.

READING  2:    The LORD God sent His Son Jesus to

preach good news to the poor,
to heal the broken hearted,
to proclaim LIBERTY to us,
to open the prisons for those who are who are bound.  Isaiah 61.

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
Psalm 82: 4  prayer  (where "the gods" = the judges and rulers of governments):
"Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked."

Psalm 72:12  PROMISE inspired by God through David's prayers:
For He will deliver the needy when he cries,
The poor also, and him who has no helper.
He will spare the poor and needy,
And will save the souls of the needy.
He will redeem their life from oppression and violence;
And precious shall be their blood in His sight...
His name shall endure forever;
His name shall continue as long as the sun.
And men shall be blessed in Him;
All nations shall call Him blessed.
Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel,
Who only does wondrous things!
And blessed be His glorious name forever!
And let the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen and Amen.

      JESUS's PROMISE:
 John 8: starting at 31.
"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, 'You will be made free'?"
Jesus answered them,
"Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.
Therefore if the Son makes you free,
              you shall be free indeed."
