Tell It to Jesus Who Hears, by DianaDee Osborne

TELL  IT  TO  JESUS,  WHO  HEARS
ALBUM:      Amazing Peace 'n' Passion
Song location  http://DianaDeeOsborneSongs.com/Songs-2008-2012.php

Song Story:  This old hymn has been especially meaning-filled to me.  After a week when I'd been singing it a lot, I prayed for a way to help others also rejoice in its words, in a personalized, 21st century  version.  This is God's truth for so many people --- that People Have Hurt Us.
A natural self-defense response is to shut up  and  shut out.
How painful it must be to our loving God --  to our brother and Friend, Jesus ---  when we not only quit sharing our true thoughts with people,
but are afraid to share our thoughts with  Him.
Especially after the true love, true friendship Jesus has shown to us people despite our many personal flaws.
First John 4:10 -- God knows your thoughts anyway.  And STILL loves you.
Dedicated to our Loving Jesus, who asks to be your Friend (John 14 and 15 especially),

LYRICS
Verses based on original lyrics of the old hymn by
J.E.Rankin and melody by E.S. Lorenz (Public Domain, CCLI 93755)
1
Are you weary,  are you heavy hearted?
Tell it to Jesus,  tell it to Jesus.
Are you grieving over joys departed?  Tell it to Jesus  Who hears

CHORUS
ALL OUR DESPERATE PRAYERS,
ALL OUR CRIES OF DESPAIR,
ALL OUR SORROWS we share with NO one, afraid to bare
all our Real unspoken thoughts.... and fears.

2
Do you fear the gathering clouds of sorrow?
Tell it to Jesus,  tell it to Jesus.
Are you anxious,  "What shall be tomorrow?"

Tell it to Jesus Who hears        > CHORUS above

3
Are you troubled at the thought of dying?
Tell it to Jesus,  tell it to Jesus.
For Christ's coming Kingdom, are you sighing? Tell it to Jesus Who hears.....
ALL OUR DESPERATE PRAYERS,
ALL OUR CRIES OF DESPAIR,
ALL OUR SORROWS we share with NO one, afraid to bare
all our Real unspoken thoughts.... and fears.

God's SUPPORTING WORDS:
“But there is a Friend  who  sticks closer than a brother.”  --  Proverbs 18:24
“In our troubles we expect comfort and relief from our relations, but sometimes there is a friend, that is nothing akin to us, the bonds of whose esteem and love prove stronger than those of nature, and, when it comes to the trial, will do more for us than a brother will. Christ is a friend to all believers that sticks closer than a brother.”
--- Matthew Henry.  "Commentary on Proverbs 18."  --Blue Letter Bible. 1 Mar 1996. <www.blueletterbible.org>
